5. Kurage Awako
Her eyes moved up.
3.Bakugou Katsuki
Her hands tightened into fists. A rage bubbled up in the pit of her stomach. She felt light-headed and her temples throbbed from over-exertion. Her throat burned and she took another long few gulps from her canister before making herself choke on the water.
"Awako-chan are you okay?" Tsuyu asked, tilting her head to look at her face. She wiped her mouth, trying to calm herself from the coughing fit, her face red from both the coughing and the looks she was getting. Specifically from Katsuki who took a few steps from her.
"Wanko..." he grumbled, raising a hand towards her. The look she gave him made him freeze in his tracks.
"Maybe you should go to the nurse's office?" Tsuyu asked, rubbing her back. Awako shook her head, straightening herself and looking to Tsuyu with a weak smile. "I'm okay. Just went down the wrong pipe." She caught Izuku looking at her as well and raised her hands slightly, saying "Really! I'm okay."
Aizawa turned his gaze to the both of them before handing out two slips of paper. "Here, both of you. Have recovery girl fix you up. Tomorrow's challenges won't be any easier."
She reached out and took the note, exchanging looks with Izuku.
"He really is weird," she said to him as they headed towards Recovery Girl's office. "But I think he'll be a good teacher." He didn't even seem to bat an eyelash at her name. Anyone like that was golden in her book. She looked over to Izuku, eyeing his finger and asking "Does it hurt? It must be hard to deal with since you developed a quirk so late..."
"O-Oh, well, just a little," he said, laughing a little. "It'll just take some practice is all."
Awako nodded, teetering a bit on her feet.
"Boy, you really gave it your all today Awa-chan," he said, gently steadying her.
"Yeah...I uh," she mumbled, "Wanted to beat K-Kacchan." She finally admitted it outloud. He gave her one of his wide-eyed looks, blinking a few times before saying "You two really are fighting!"
Her face turned red. "I..haven't spoken to him since the mud villain incident..." she admitted, bringing her hands to her stomach. He looked even more surprised.
"I...I guess I just..." she waved her hands, trying to get out her thoughts. Over-exertion made it jumbled and a mess and at this moment she couldn't remember why they were fighting in the first place.
She stopped.
Why were they fighting?
"Awa-chan?" Izuku said, looking concerned. "Come on, let's just get to the nurse's office, okay?" he said, gently touching her arm with his good hand.

Katsuki was waiting by her desk when she finally made it back to class. Everyone had already left for the day and it was just the two of them. He held her bag out to her.
She was reeling at this. A year ago the situation would be reversed. She would be waiting for him eagerly, excited to tell him about a new idea she had for a bracelet or asking about his day.
Katsuki remained silent, waiting for her to take it. So she did, slinging it over her shoulder. Her face was still pale and her bushy hair was tied up in a bun. Recovery Girl had said that her powers boosted her healing factors and would make her a little sluggish.
Good thing for Katsuki, she was too tired to run away from him this time. Instead they just looked at eachother.
"Say something!" he suddenly snipped after a few moments passed. She could almost see the steam coming off of him.
