"Alright students, I have gathered you today to discuss about the year-end performance."
Mrs. Taylor started, clasping her hands together. She looked excited, as did the whole students that sat in front of her in the theater.
"The school has voted that we do a musical theater for this year's year-end performance." At that, the students start hollering questions on what play they were doing and who where the stars.
He smiled as he listened to his fellow classmates. At the corner of his eye, he could see where she sat with her friend, Katey. She had on a giddy smile, her face painted with absolute delight towards this performance.
Of course she would be excited, she was a drama student for crying out loud!
Mrs. Taylor held up her hand to silence the students. She smiled as it worked. "Now, the school board has decided that we are going to be playing, drum roll, please." She made way for them to make makeshift drum roll noises, patting their legs or (for guys) their stomachs.
His smile seemed to widen as he imagined what play they were going to do. He heard last year's play was the infamous play by Shakespeare, The Taming of The Shrew. He learned that she played the role of Bianca, the main character's sister. The reviews of the play said she looked innocently beautiful, portraying the character perfectly.
And after seeing the pictures, he couldn't agree no more.
Mrs. Taylor's Cheshire smile seemed to widen, "... our play is written by Catherine Johnson, Mamma Mia!" She tossed her hand out as if to make a surprise as everyone clapped. "Does anyone not know this beautiful masterpiece, anyone?"
A few hands raised up, including his. Well, of course, since he didn't even realize they existed until a few months back....
"To make it short, it's about a girl who's getting married and invites three men who could be her dad potentially." Mrs. Taylor gestured for a student, her assistant most likely, to come forward with a few stacks of paper. "Since I already know all of you and there are no new students this year, I have already decided the actors and actresses during the break. I will be announcing the main roles. Four from seniors and four from sophomores."
Everyone fell into an unspoken silence as Mrs. Taylor's assistant gave her a clipboard which had the list of actors. She cleared her throat for a more clearer voice, "To all these names spoken, please line up on the stage."
"Donna Sheridan, the mother of the bride will be played by...... Madison Ale." An ebony-haired girl with green eyes took the stage.
"Tanya, my favourite character might I say..... Ava Hutcherson." A tall blonde walk to the stage.
As this was going on, he only had his eyes on her. Her eyes were hopeful as she was hoping for her name to be called, most probably. He turned his attention back to the teacher.
"Sophie Sheridan, our beautiful bride of this play will played by..... Elivia Waters." A full out smile blossomed on her face as she stepped up to take her place next to Liam Nelson, who's playing Harry Bright. She look even more prettier, passion for drama was etched on her face.
Maybe that's why he like her...
"And last but not least, Sky, the bride's future husband will be played by......"
Carter Henley, Carter Henley, Carter H-
"..Emmett Dawson!"
Of course, it wouldn't be him. It would be that sly-looking blonde guy that was walking to stand right next to...her.
