She wen't scared around in the dark forest. The leaves maked sounds for every step she took, and her gray fur soft smoothed down her body. The coldness wasn't there, and not the warmness either. Everything seemed different in the dark.
«Hello!?» she said scared and quiet. No answer. She pricked her ears for something mysteries. Everything was dark, and she couldn't see a thing, exept of the moon and the glowing stars. She just wanted to go back home, and curl up like a ball in her nest.
«NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!» a scream came behind her. She turned around, and pricked her ears. She couldn't see, but she knew that something was comming out from the shadows by the sounds of the leaves that were cracking under the things paws. She didn't dare to see who or what it was, she just got scared and started to run the way she had come from.
She heard fast paws behind her, and she ran faster and faster. She bumped into rocks and nearly crashed into trees several times, but kept running like it wasn't allowed to go normally in the world. She started pasing, and was exusted becouse of her tiny paws. The sound of the paws behind her suddenly died away, and she wondered if she could have ran from it, but new that woud never happen. She stopped and turned around. She waited some seconds, but knew that the thing was gone.
«Hello!? Someone there?» she said scared. A dark laugh came behind her, and two red eyes appered that looked at her. She backed slowly away, but the thing just followed her.
«It is no way out» it said funny, and loughed dark before it jumped and was going to land on her. She screamed so loud that she never had done before, and closed her eyes.
She suddenly felt a paw prick her at the back.
«Quiet Wolfkit! I can't sleep with you screaming and sprelling beside me!» Wolfkit heard her brother with the angry voice that she didn't hear often.She stunned and opened her eyes, and noticed that it just was a dream, and was back in the nursery.
«Take it easy Nightkit, you musn't be mad at your sister» she heard her mother, Snowshine, say softly. She lifted her head and saw in her mother's eyes.
«It was just a nightmare, nothing serious» Wolfkit tried to say fearless, but she knew that her mother wouldn't let that go so easly.
«What was the nightmare about?» her mother asked softly, but her eyes was round with worry.
«It was just about the scream, nothing to worry about» Wolfkit said. The night before, the two apprentices, Ochenpaw and Forestpaw, had been out to hunt, when they said they heard a scream close by. They started to run back to the camp to get help becouse they thought that someone needed help, but when they came back where they had hunted, nothing was there.
«You was scared» She heard Nightkit say.
«Not» she said angry. Nightkit looked funny at her.
"Of course you was, you are always scared"
«Enough!» Snowshine said angrily. Wolfkit and Nightkit looked up at their mother.
«You two will be apprentices tomorrow, and then you can't be like small kits that is fighting all the time!» She said it with a so deep and dark voice that Wolfkit got a scared. Snowshine took a long breath.
«Go to the elders and ask if they wan't to tell you some good stories» She said a little more calm.
«But remember to take a mouse or two. If not so will not Runningbreeze be so happy» she said and smiled.
«Alright» Nightkit said and runned out of the nursy. Wolfkit followed her brother out, and the first she saw was the sunrise.

FantasiA mysterious scream appear almost every night in the forest around the territories. Wolfkit has taken the mission to find out about the scream and stop it before it become stronger and destroy the clans
