"I'm starving." Mari groaned, resting her head against the chains on the swing. "Probably drinking on an empty stomach." Shayne joked and Mari threw the empty can at his head. A good few hours had passed since the kiss and truth or dare had come to an end. We were still at the park though.

Ian began getting up off the swing, "Let's get food then." Most of us nodded in agreement.
"Hell no, I just sat down." Keith exclaimed, balancing on the see saw.

"I can take my car and drive some of us to pick up some KFC?" Joven offered, but really he just wanted to brag about the fact he had gotten his drivers license and a car before us. "I'll put it on my card." Only because he has a card.

"Having a job has changed you." Shayne said and everyone laughed, agreeing. "Shut up." Joven said, embarrassed.

Mari, Sohinki, Wes and Lasercorn decided to go with Joven to get the food.

"Let's put some music on." Keith said, fiddling with his boom box. I can't believe he still carries that around with him he got it as a present from his parents a few Christmas's ago. Return of the Mack began to blare from the speakers and Flitz cheered loudly.

It was beginning to get dark, we used the street lamps as our sources of light. Everyone was dancing around the park, me and Courtney were on the swings just talking. The music was loud. Keith's parents decided to get him a pretty expensive boom box due to his love of music so it had a really good range.

"How are things with you and Anthony?" Courtney asked, staring at her feet rather than my face. "Awkward." I answered. "We haven't talked at all, he won't even look at me."

"Do you love him?" She asked.
"What?" I asked confused. Did I? Of course I did, but it's more complicated than that.
"Do you love him?" She asked again. Assuming I just didn't hear her. I did.
"Yes." I replied. It was silent between us for a little while.

Luckily Joven and the others marched in yelling 'food' and chucking pots of chicken to us and little bags of fries. Some carried on dancing whilst eating, it looked a lot of fun. We stayed on the swings and a few others sat around eating. Anthony was sat at the top of the slide, it was shaped like a hut and there was lots of wood connecting it to slides and wooden + rope bridges. Ian was up there with him, they were best friends and Ian could tell Anthony was upset. No wonder Ian was being weird with me today.

I didn't dwell for long though because after I finished eating 'Breakfast at Tiffanys' came on and I sent Courtney a look and she beamed back at me. It was almost pitch black now and the park had some street lamps and outdoor fairy lights shaped like bulbs draping along the gazebo to give us some light. I was surprised no one had stole them.

"Come on." Courtney cheered, grabbing my hand and pulling me off the swing so we could dance to the song. I remember her telling me it was her favourite song on the walk here.

Mari and Sohinki were on the see saw, sharing a bag of fries and Lilly and Shayne were under the gazebo together joined by Flitz, Keith and Noah playing spin the bottle.

Roughly an hour passed of us dancing, I was out of breath but it was worth it. So far it had been the best night of my life. Me and Courtney tried doing some ballet lifts i'd learnt to the songs, we failed miserably, but it was hilarious.

We had some beer that Joe had gotten for us which sent us a little mental.

Mari had recorded us on a shitty original camcorder, she'd been recording us all together for years. At first it was weird but after a while we got used to it. She did it for memories sake. She even got mine and Courtney's kiss on camera.

I flopped back onto the swing but Courtney kept dancing with Mari. I saw Anthony slumped on a bench next to the gazebo, looking lonely. I felt a pinch of pain in my heart so I walked over to him.

'Killing me softly with his song' began to play. Of course.

"Hey." I said softly as I approached him.
"Hey." He replied, he didn't look up but I was just happy to hear his voice again.

We sat next to each other in a comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each other's company. He probably hated me but at this moment in time we were fine.

I rested my head on his shoulder and shut my eyes. We stayed like this until people began to leave.

It was around 10pm when I got home and it took me a little while for my brain to co operate with everything that had happened today.

My mind was racing but after a while I found myself sound asleep.
