"Well, dont just stand there. Say, 'hi'." Cheska said.
I tried to give her a death stare, but it only came out as more blushing. Instead, i calmed myself down and took a deep breath. I looked over at Nico and said,
"Hi,"
"Hey," he said.
Cheska rolled her eyes, definitely unimpressed.
"Seriously, guys? Its not like you guys just met. Go on, run along now." she said, encouraging us to talk.
"Okay, okay." i said, glaring at her.
She winked at me and did the shooing motion you would do to a dog.

Nico and i sat near the lake, not doing Cheska's instructions. It was like this for a few minutes before Nico decided to break the silence.
"So, uhm..." he said, "the rumors."
"Yeah, the rumors. Its really annoying," i said.
"Oh..." he said, kind of hurt.
"Not that way," i said.
He stared at me while his eyes glinted, like he was relieved or something.
"So, youre really close with Danika, arent you?" i asked.
"Why do you ask that?"
"Because, she told me you shadow traveled to her cabin early in the morning."
He laughed a little then asked,
"You jealous?"
"What? Of course not! I... okay, yes." i said.
"Well, you dont need to be. I was just scared, thats why i went to her first."
"Scared of me?"
"No, scared... that you might not like me. Scared, i might be rejected. So, of course i need a friend who knows you to tell me everything."
"Wow," i said, in shock.
He nodded and we both laughed. We both got up and walked back to my cabin. Soon enough, we were holding hands.
