It's Upon Us

School

Lyndsays' POV.

When it all started I was only 17, everything was perfect for me. I was making good grades, having a good attitude with everybody. I only had about four weeks left of school and I would graduate. I was ready to go on with my life and head to college to start my career. It had been a long and hard four years. My best friend of twelve years was there for me on graduation night, it was a pretty big deal for me as I had never been the smartest, except when it came to video games. Her name is Micaela. 

She walked up ti me on the foot ball field.

"Hey nerd you actually made it. Thought I was gonna lose you at the end" Micaela just sat there and laughed. Her mom came up behind her with her baby sister Olivia.

" Ha be nice Mac" She said in a stern tone

After the next few days, alot of things started to go down hill. I ended up not getting into college and took it pretty hard . All my life had came up to this moment and it was all shattered. I remember preparing for this. Now I had nothing. 

I got a call that same night from Micaela.

"Hey so did you get your letter from the college?" she sounded pretty excited from the high tone in her voice.

"No, but fuck it, im just gonna get a job." I was pissed as I know that she got accepted.

"Dude have you watched the news latley though?" I could hear her abusive step father yelling at her from the other side of the phone. He's always been an ass to her and her mother. He always gets drunk and just lays out on her. Micaela has always had it pretty ruff, but she is one of the most positive people that I know.

"Yeah i've seen that there is some type of new virus going around, acting like its the flu. I'm not to concerned about it though, it will come through just like Ebola and the Swine Flu did." For me getting sick was horrible, i had a weak imune system. But all I could do was hope. 

"alright, well I better go, Bob is throwing a fit. Ill call you tomorrow and see what time you wanna hang, see ya later!" I heard the phone go silent. I looked at the clock and noticed that it was eleven at night and went to bed.
