O Soul! My Soul
O soul, O my soul ! our time on earth is done
we have weathered every path, sorrow and joy
the light is near, the bells I hear, the angels all exulting
while follow eyes the light that shines
that beckoning hope and beauty
but o mind! mind! mind!
o the crying tears of shame
where on the screen of life
the chances pass
where the path not taken
o soul, my Soul! rise up and see the light
rise up -- for you the light beckons - - for you the Saints await
For you the light and peaceful bliss
for you the Saints assemble
for you they call the blissful mass
their benign compassion waiting
Here Soul, dear Soul
The light is there for you
It is not a dream
that this life is lived and completed
it is not some dream
we dream while abed
but our one true destination
My soul now rejoices
it does not feel remorse nor shame
the light shines brightly
and onward my soul will tread
from a fearful life
a fearlessness comes to wake
Exalt O Saints, ring o bells
As my soul with grateful tread
walk the path the Saints led
unto the light of lights
