Mercy...

Waking up in the darkness is bad enough. Not to mention waking up in an empty room, strapped onto the table like a lab rat. Imagine getting experimented on without knowing if it'll fail or not. It's either life or death. the door slammed open and in came some people in mask and black, their hands wrapped in gloves approached me. I shut my eyes tightly, hoping they would leave if I prevented I was sleeping, instead, I got poked with something sharp right at my chest.

Unwillingly, tears started streaming down my cheeks. I kept praying, calling for death to come faster and pout me out of this torturous misery. It was better to be killed with a quick, painless death instead of a slow and torturous death like this. The man pushed down the knife deeper into me and I felt the pain. I screamed in agony against my will and struggled. Struggled to be free from the bonds, the pain. Struggled to escaped from this nightmare. It goes on and on, the same routines, everyday. My fate.

Every seconds I breathe, I prayed to death to take me away from this place. I could no longer bear anymore pain stabbing through my body.

When the door opened, I heard yelping outside. I quickly shut my eyes and waited for it but instead of the pain, my body were free from the bonds. I cracked open an eye to look at the benefactor's face but all I see is a black mist with a pair of red eyes staring at me. You've called for me and I've come. And it disappeared.

I blinked in confusion and stared at that place for awhile then stood up. I gripped the edge of the metal table for support as my legs shook weakly. It was then that I noticed. A note with a dagger was placed on the table. I picked up the note.

If you so wish for death, join me. I'm waiting in the darkness of the sea for you.

                                                                                                                                                              - Death -

I stared with my mouth agape before grabbing the dagger and placed it in my pocket ( or the captor's). I opened the door slowly, afraid that a knife will stabbed through my skull but nothing came. So, I flung the door wide open and the sight was terrible. Head decapitated from the bodies. Hands and legs everywhere. Limbs and bones scattered all over the corridor with their blood decorated the floor like red carpets.

I should've felt sick to the stomach but I was filled with glee and thrill. I doubled over and started laughing, tears streaming down my cheeks once again. Serves them right. Karma overwhelmed them. They've lost. I laughed as I ran across the red carpet and let myself fall freely into the open sea.

Finally. I thought to myself as I allowed myself to drown and sunk to the depth of the sea. Hands wrapped around my waist and I opened my eyes to see a man so pale like the moon grinning at me. He took my hand and urged me into the abyss. I willingly followed him to my new-founded home where all who lives are dead, where I will finally be free. Death...
