"I tried to stop him, I did everything I could to turn him from the path he was about to take. It was futile in the end, as he continued to kill the men who stood around him, stopping him from escaping the prison he made me design specifically for him and his kind, if any were to ever turn up someday." The woman just stood against the wall, holding herself up while trying to ignore the pain that ran through her body. She knew she couldn't stop him, but it was better than not trying at all, it would make her social life go down the drain. Especially if others find out that she only tried talking the beast in calming down, which only worked for a few seconds before he started killing again.

"Once he killed the rest of the men, I knew I had to do something, but all I did was just stand in front of him. He lashed out at me, leaving serious but non-life threatening injuries, then left quickly after." She continued to tell her story about what happened to the man before her, finishing right when the medics came to treat her. Being told to sit down on the gurney so the medics could do a thorough check up on the body so they don't have any surprises on the way to the hospital. "Well Vitalia, at least you tried, even though you knew that no human could stop that beast, at least not yet. I want you to rest be-" He was interrupted when vitalia slapped him across the face, pure anger was on her face as she continued to glare up at him.

"Don't you dare call him a beast, not even a monster, he's no such thing! Just because he was born half human, and whatever else we haven't identified yet, does not give you the right to call my husband a beast!" vitalia yelled. She gripped her side as the pain slowly made its presence known, as if the world was going by slowly through her eyes. Her body gave out on her as she started falling backward, but was caught by one of the male doctors nearby. The last thing she saw was the man looking down at her concerned, blinking a few times, she could have sworn she saw a shadow like figure on the ceiling, just watching her. Before she closed her eyes however, it slowly went away when laixen came over.

Ikurav closed the book gently and set it down on the nightstand, before he leaned back against the wall on his bed. 'If only I could escape my life here, it's been nothing but misery and pain' thought Ikurav, staring at the wall in front of him for a few minutes. It was only until he looked over at the doorway, watching person after person run by in the same direction, did he realize what was happening. His face paled at the memory of what they told him what they were to do if it ever reached here, so he quickly got off the bed to pull two medium size bags onto the bed.

Shoving items into the bags such as books, important documents, passport, and other everyday things he would need at the start of this situation. One could never be too careful, so instead of trying to lunge two backpacks onto his back, he again reached under his bed. Pulling out a duffle bag, quickly opening it up and started airing out the bag, as dust flew everywhere. Ikurav stood there after putting both of the backpacks into the large sized one, zipping it up, did he realize that he could no longer hear the shuffling feet of his fellow friends and colleagues.

'Did they leave that quick? I hope not, it wouldn't do well if they left behind the one with the documents that could end all this mess. But what if they did?' the sudden thought came to him. The idea alone of being left behind was bad enough, if they found out who he was, the papers he held would never even make it three feet before he was turned into a target practice for the enemy to put their bullets into. After gathering all he needed up and put away, he grabbed the duffel bag and walked to the door. Silence was the only thing around in the building, as he took a peek out to the left, he quickly had to step back as a bullet passes where his head should have been.

'What the he-' was the last few words he thought before he ducked out to see if anyone was there. No one was there. He gripped his stuff and went in the opposite direction from where the bullet came. Turning down one hallway, going through a room with a secret passage to another hallway, backing against the wall around a corner as several men came strolling by with some type of weapon in their hands. Another gunshot sounded off throughout the hallways, seeming everywhere but nowhere else but next to him at the same time. Feet stomping on the cold pavement floor, causing him to wander aimlessly around the building.

A cry of help sounded nearby, ikurav's heart stopped cold at the sound of the cry, it was like he heard one of the children's cry. 'Oh please tell me that there isn't another kid in here, what were they thinking?! Leaving children behind because they're not quick enough to run or pack their things.' He thought, muttering under his breath. There were two choices he could make; one was to throw caution to the wind and try to be a hero to save the kid. The second choice is to let the child get kidnapped, or killed, and leave so he doesn't end up the same way.
