Today's skies are blue. The birds are happily chirping near our spot in our grove. I smile. She laughs. We pop cherries into our mouths as she pushes me on the swings. My wheelchair hanging by, I looked upon it with pity.

"Leo," Kassie laughs again. "I don't know what I would have done without you."

I sigh," I would have never existed without you."

We pause. Her beautiful features are making her look innocent now. Her pink spring dress whisks near her knees. The world seems to stop around us as we eat cherries. They stain our lips just like our love meant to be.

I get a nagging feeling that just won't go away. I feel free.
