I walk quietly through the woods with my older brother, Caleb. We have been squirrel hunting for about an hour now, just walking through the dark dawn of the woods. As I follow Caleb I check up in the trees and Caleb searches the ground. We have been on a path, but now, Caleb is going off the path and I follow. Caleb and I only have our mother,new never knew our father, at least I didn't, and our mother had a hard life, and Caleb keeps him and I out of her way. I have always been the daredevil through life. Mother says I get it from my father and also my cousin, Nick. Nick is my age, sixteen.
Out of no where's there's the sound of fourwheeler engines. Caleb kneels down nd I kneel down behind him, he's much bigger than me so his body walls mine. He's tall and muscular, all muscle just like me, but mine doesn't show as much as his does, and I'm also tall just like him, except he is much more taller than me, he is very tall for his age, eighteen. And the engines get closer, and closer, and closer.
"Get down." Caleb says. Caleb and I gat on our stomachs. Now I can tell that the fourwheelers will be here any moment. Caleb looks over to me and I grin.
"We're going to run as fast as we can, I will bring us to my secret hiding place." I say. Caleb gives me a look then we're both on our feet running. The fourwheelers catch up to us. I throw my riffle over to Caleb and he catches it, and I grab my pistol from my waist band. We're going to Abe to shoot the tires. It's like Caleb can read my mind because he starts shooting the tires, and I join in. Finally! There isn't any more fourwheelers, but Caleb and I keep running. We run for about an half hour then,
"Watch this!" I say. I run foward the slide toward the tree. I slip through the secret hole I made at the very bottom. I land in my secret hiding place. Caleb lands behind me. Caleb looks up and smiles. "I brought you here before."
"I know. Some one will be meeting us here." Meeting us? Does he not know what 'secret' means? God, bothers these days! I also brought my bestfriend here, Alex. Alex is built just like my brother, he has dark brown hair with hazel eyes. I look around in my place. I three big bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, kitchen, and a secret closet that holds weapons, Caleb doesn't know bout it he would think I'm a killer or something.
"Who?" I ask.
"A friend, Xavier."
"Have a seat and relax, I don't want to take risks going back out there today." Caleb takes off his boots and walks into the bathroom. He must be washing up. "You have clothes ionic your bedroom." I walk into the kitchen and make pancakes. This house even has power, Internet, and cable. I wished it, I didn't believe it untill... I was walking home from schooling eighth grade and a man came up to me and gave me a braclet. He had said, "These are wishes, my dear, each bead will grant your wish." Then he disappeared, and I went home that day and went to the woods. Caleb believed me.
Caleb walks into the kitchen and takes over. I go take a shower, then go to my room and put on sweatpants, a baggy shirt, and a huge sweatshirt that's Alex. I have so many boy clothes in here for Alex, Caleb, and extra. I dry my hair then put it up in a messy bun. After, I put on some makeup of mine so I don't look like a total bum when Caleb's friend comes. I have a whole bunch o great too, boy gear, gear for me, and the weapons go with the gear. Every time I use a wish, there will be another bead to replace that one.
I walk out into the living room and turn on the TV, the new turns on. It shows the woods and seven fourwheelers. I sit down and turn the TV up an listen the the newslady she says, "There was seven guys with seven fourwheeler in the woods. They had said these two siblings were shotting at there tires and couldnt get back. Whoever these sibling are-" My heart races its dark, so they couldn't of have seen our faces. I look up at the news lady and the her face- her face turns green like the skin of a wizard, she grows horns on her head and her eyes turn into glowing yellow cat eyes. I get to my feet. "We are coming for you, Melanie!" I stumble back and trip on over the couch. I fall back, but arms catch me before I fall. My breathing is heavy and my eyelids also grow heavy. Then I hear Caleb's voice.
