Chapter 11- Refresh

Teresa is sitting on our couch shivering cold because of how windy it was outside. Stu and I,both sitting beside her covering her up with blankets.

"Whose this Stiles?" Stu asks in confusion.

"My name is Teresa. Im in some of your classes,me and Stiles have been dating." She answered.

"Well are you alright,you look like you just got beat up."

"Well my mom and dad were fighting tonight and I decided to just,runaway and he caught me. He pulled my hair and starting beating with his bare hands. My mom was in the kitchen, not doing anything about it.I got my baseball bat and hit my dad with it acouple of time,I might have killed him....I think I killed him...im so scared." She started to cry. " Im so so scared, I might have killed my own father."

"Hey well..just breathe do you know if hes dead for sure?" Stu asked her.

"I think hes dead. I shook him a couple of times and he wouldnt respond."

Me and Stu let Teresa stay the night. We stayed up talking about what we could do to help her.If she really killed her father, she would go to jail,but I really cared about this girl and I didnt want to see her go to jail for showing some self defense.She didnt mean to kill him,I know she didnt. I went in my room to check on her and she was sobbing. Stu stayed in his room while we talked.

"Hey Teresa?"

"Yeah."

"I know your scared and all,you know about your dad and everything but,you were only defending yourself."

"Look I dont care about going to jail. Its my dad im worried about, I know he beat me up and all but I still loved him."

'"Hey recently my sister cheated on her boyfriend and..he was going to take all the money out of her account,but I stopped him. We all make dumb mistakes, you did not mean to do it...just remember that."

"Your right. I need to hang with you more,if I dont go to jail haha."

So we slept together and no police came or anything, Stu fell back to sleep. I woke up in the morning and a shocking surprise showed up. Derek Hale. He was at my door but he didnt ring the doorbell..I just saw him standing there.

"What are you doing here Derek?"

"I just wanted to tell you that im sorry."

"Yeah ok."

"No seriously Stiles,your like my best friend."

"Yeah but you knew,Anelise had a boyfriend..you knew."

"Yes and I was wrong for that." 

I hear Stu walking up behind me and he has this dirty look on his face.

"What are you doing here bro?" He says to Derek.

"Well I came to see Stiles....bro."

"Look your not allowed here anymore,your a coward." 

"What did you say to me?" Derek started to get mad I could tell,so I told Stu that everything was ok and I told him to go back to bed. I went for a walk with Derek,I decided to give him another chance.

"Look when I seen Anelise at the store,I was happy. For some reason she just makes me happy and she always has...I just felt like talking to her.I wasnt thinking."

"Well shes still with Steve and hopefully they still continue their relationship."

"Yeah me to. It was really good seeing her though."

"Yeah seeing her boobs haha." We laughed and hugged it out and I told him he could come over anytime he wants dont listen to Stu.

So I went back home and the police were at my house. Just like that I seen Teresa in handcuffs. I run over there and ask Stu what was going on.

"They just came in here and took her I was in the shower and she was out here."

I ran over there to see her but they wouldnt let me by. I seen my dad and he looked pissed because she was in our house. 

"Stiles WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE DOING IN OUR HOUSE?" 

"Dad I met her at school she came to my house last night shivering cold,her face all beat up..Im not just gonna be like 'sorry you cant come in."

"Where was Stu when all this happened?"

"He was here dont worry."

"You guys are some crazy little kids."

I asked my dad if Teresa's dad was dead....unfortunatly he did die but her mom was fine and she DIDNT GET CHARGED WITH MURDER. She went to the hospital got herself fixed up and she was back the next week. Things with Anelise and Steve didnt work out. He ended up taking money out of her accont three weeks after they left from where I stay at. She had to work 2 jobs to get some of her money back,but she is doing better now. Derek moved out of his old apartment into a newer one and he is doing better,hes not having sex with other guys girlfriends.

Stu still runs his blog and he is getting better from the accident,he has a girlfriend now her names Susin . My dad has fixed his drinking problems and he just got a motorcylce so,yeah. Now me I heard my grandma moved to Brooklyn recently,and I kind of miss living with her. I know this may surprise you but I decided to move back with her..living with Stu was fun but,I just didnt like living in New York. 

Stu understood and he told me he would try and visit sometime.My dad was a wreck. He cried and cried and cried when I left but I told him id be back.

 It was a crazy time living with my brother and my dad,I enjoyed seeing my best friend Scott.But I knew it was about time for me to get the fuck out of New York.
