Chapter 20

Eddie POV

I knocked on the door again as she yelled at me to go away.

"Yacker, please open the door," I begged.

"Go away!" I groaned as I ran a hand through my hair.

"No wonder you're part witch, you definitely act like one," I muttered as the door swung open.

"I'm not a witch! Don't call me that! I'll never be a witch! They aren't real! They don't exist! I'll never be a witch!" she screamed at me. She hit my biceps and chest as I watched her. Her soft hits slowed down as she collapsed into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her as her hot tears soaked my shirt.

"It's okay," I cooed, leading her back into her room and shutting the door.

"I don't want to be a witch, I have bad history with them," she spoke softly. Her tears were still fresh and flowing as she sank onto her bed. I moved to sit beside her and wrapped my arms around her tiny form.

"You don't have to tell me anything, you know?" I muttered into her hair.

"No, I want to." She wiped her eyes and moved away from my grasp. She moved up her bed so that her back was against the headboard as I followed her lead. My hand ended up in her's as she took a deep breath. "I come from the bloodline of witches. When I was young my grandmother and aunt used to tell me stories of witches and magic."

"Isn't that good? You're not alone."

"But that's the thing Eddie," she frowned, "Every witch I've ever known has been judged as a crazy person. They sent my grandmother to a nursing home and my aunt to a mental institution, Eddie I-I can't, I can't go through that."

"I'm not letting anyone take you away," I whispered.

"I'm really interested in your life and everything Eddie but we've been thrown into this too fast at full force. I just think we all just need a normal, calmer hunt to go on," she sighed. I nodded in agreement as she scooted closer to me. "How'd you get used to this chaos?"

"I don't know, my dad has always ran Frobisher Industries so I guess I thought it was normal. Plus there's a reason I'm such a good hunter, same goes with Nina, I'll tell you about it sometime."

"Why not now?" she questioned with a smile.

"It's not the right time," I told her as she looked up at me suspiciously.

"Ok, tell me when it's right," she shrugged at I smiled. "Now, I just want complete silence...with you." I mouthed an ok as she squeezed my hand tighter. The whole house seemed to be completely silent for the next ten minutes before my phone rang loudly through the silence.

"Sorry," I whispered before answering the phone. "Hello?"

"Edison," the voice broke through the phone.

"Dad," I let out as Patricia's eyes went wide.

"Edison, something's come up. I require Miss. Rush, Miss. Martin and you to go on an overnight hunt."

"What are we hunting?" I questioned.

"Bigfoot."

"Can't we come?" Alfie pleaded.

"Alfie it's better that you don't," KT spoke up, slinging her backpack over her shoulder.

"Nina?" Jerome said as Nina shook her head no.

"Eddie, I'll be a lot safer with you than here unprotected," Yacker fluttered her eyelashes as I sighed.

"Go change into something comfortable," I instructed as she smiled and raced upstairs.

"Grow some backbone," Nina scowled, smacking me in the back of my head.

Joy POV

We all watched as Nina climbed a tree, testing each of the branches.

"These are strong enough. Plus, the trees surround a clearing where a Supernatural would most likely come," Nina spoke down to Eddie and KT. I found it amazing all the things Nina and them knew about Supernaturals. Plus, they can really kick people/Supernaturals butts. "Amber, Alfie come on you're in this tree." Alfie climbed up before Eddie helped Amber. Amber and Alfie sat on a high branch as Fabian climbed up to be with Nina. Eddie climbed the middle tree before looking down at Patricia. Jerome helped hoist up Patricia as she tried her best the climb to the high branch. She stumbled back almost falling as Eddie grabbed her by the wrist and held her close. Jerome helped me, Willow, and KT up the last tree before we all settled.

"I think we should make us an official group!" Amber exclaimed as we all gave her a funny look. "What? We're going to be hunting soon enough-"

"No you won't," Eddie interrupted.

"Anyways," Amber spoke with annoyance, "Even if we don't hunt or anything we're part of a group, all of us."

"Humor us Amber, what do you think we should call ourselves?" I questioned from our different tree as she smiled.

"Sibuna," she said, putting her right hand over her right eye.

"Sibuna?" Nina questioned, looking down at the bubbly blonde.

"Come on I already told you this. Sibuna, Anubis backwards. I'm a little bit of a genius," Amber explained happily.

"That...is...amazing!" Nina laughed with Fabian.

"And I think we should have a leader," Amber suggested.

"I say Nina and Eddie, they are the Chosen One and Osirian," KT grinned as we all gave confused looks. Eddie and Nina shared a glance before looking away from us.

"What's the Chosen One and Osirian?" Patricia questioned Eddie.

"Nothing," he muttered. Patricia gave him a look as he sighed and wrapped an arm around her. He whispered incoherent words in her ear as she nodded.

"So, Nina, Weasel, are you guys going to be the leaders of Sibuna?" Patricia inquired. Nina and Eddie smiled before putting up the new Sibuna sign.

"Sibuna?" The rest of us did the same thing with wide smiles.

"Sibuna."

All of us were in different conversations as I leaned against Jerome.

"Joyous?" Jerome spoke softly as I turned to him. I hummed a response as he smiled. "You know I love you right?"

"Of course I do," I smiled as he wrapped me in his arms.

"I'm not going to let anything happen to you."

"You sound like Eddie," I commented as he laughed. We heard a loud thump as we both looked down quickly. Alfie was on the ground snoring loudly as Nina, KT, and Eddie looked at his with concern.

"We need to tie up unless we want to end up like Alfie all night," KT voiced. The hunting trio helped "harness" each of us to the tree and woke up Alfie, who didn't even realize he fell from a tree.

"We're some gang," I yawned to Jerome.

"The Scooby gang."
