Michael POV

I was going to start school tomorrow. I am going to be a 12th grader, officially. I flunk 9th grade so I was held back, then in 10th grade I barely went. I was in a abandoned factory in my neighborhood. In the factory there is polls and chains so I like to exercise there. I took the chain and draped them over my shoulders then did some pull ups on one of the polls.
"Sixty-nine." I said pulling up then went down. I had sweat coming out of every pore. I only wore a pair of shorts being that it was too hot in there.
"Seventy." I pulled up again then went back down.
"Sevent-" I started but stopped cause of a door shutting quietly. I looked over to the door but I didn't see anyone, it was too dark. I never did try the lights, and never will. The moon light shine through the busted windows making it enough for me to see. I let go and dropped to the ground. I took the chains off and let them hit the ground.
"Are y'all going to hide like pussy's?" I asked them. I heard a chuckle then four white men and two black guys came out of the shadows and into the moon light. Four of them looked young maybe sixteen. I looked at all of them and then made eye contact with the obvious leader. He was a big back dude who was in the middle.
"May I help you ladies today?" I asked them with a hint of amusement in my voice. Everybody looked intimidated by me expect the leader he had something different. He had laced his eyes with no fear.
"Are you Stephen?" One of the younger ones asked me.
"Depends. A week ago I was John." I said while walking over to my towel and picking it up.
"Do you know a man named Mathew?" The leader spoke up.
"I know a lot of Mathews." I said wiping my face. "There dead now." The younger guys looked at each other with fear.
"I know who you are." He said. I stopped wiping my face and crossed my arms.
"Really?" I asked excited. He didn't say anything.
"I know you." I tell him. His eyebrows arched up making his forehead cress. "Yeah your that kind of guy who says that he grew up in the hood, no. You see, the new shoes, the hybrid keys, fresh shave. I'd say you grew up in a white-bread wonderland. Your dad is probably a preacher and your mom mostly Botox. You probably have a sister to who you very protective over, hell every Sunday night you have dinner together. Am I right? Should I keep going?" I asked and at that moment I knew it. The wall is broken, the lace is gone. I can see right through him. All the other guys looked at each other. He just stood there in shock.
"You probably told your family that you went out to study with some friends but really you go around saying your in a gang with your pathetic, what you call members here. You don't even carry weapons. You probably never seen a gun in your life." I said.
"What do you go around offering people to be in your gang? Is that how you got these people to follow you around?" I asked.
"We already killed more people than I bet you have." He spoke up.
"Really? Is that so? Do you know who I am?" I asked they didn't say anything.
"Listen I don't want to be in your 'gang'." I said.
"Than you want to stay in here and hide from people like me?" He asked while tapping his chest. I looked at all the guys.
"Really what kind of person are you cause you not the person you daddy wanted you to be." I said. That got him pissed. He came running to me while screaming. He opened his arm like he was going to tackle me the football way. Once he came close enough, I stepped to the side making him stumbled and fall to the floor. He gets back up and comes to me. He through a a punch but I dogged it. Then he threw another punch that I stopped with my hand. I flipped him over and put him in a head lock. He was winning like a little baby even after he came in here acting all big and tough. I stand up and nearly throw him across the room. The stumbled and fell on the others feet. They just looked up at me with fear while there leader coughed for air.
"Listen here, you don't want to get yourself into that kind of business you get on someone's bad side and they will hunt down every single person you love and kill them. They will kill everyone you've every talked to. Then after a few weeks of misery, they will come for you and kill you slow very, very slow." I tell him. He got up and back in line with the other not wanting to be in the front.
"That goes for every body in the game." I said looking at everybody.
"Now how did you know I was here?" I asked. He looked up from his feet.
"W-we was walking around, wanting to scare people when we saw you. You looked scary enough to actually get us somewhere." He said.
"Listen here. This is a bad neighborhood. People here will tear y'all to shreds but they will never be able to get to you fist if I do. So I suggest y'all leave and leave now before I get pissed." I threatened. Then turned a quickly walked out pushing each other to get out first. After they left I started my pull ups over again starting with one and going to a hundred. Once I was done with that I worked on my core before leaving and walking back to my apartment. I got in the shower then jumped in bed. School tomorrow.
