Chapter 13: Octavius

 I watched Lily at the table she was uncomfortable but it was quickly residing. She was trying her best to keep conversation and to actually meet the guys. Daniel and Sage were quiet mostly they were keeping an eye on Lily as well. I knew what I was doing once I invited some of the pack over but she needed to know no one will do harm to her. It was also my fault for failing to mention that I had found my Mate and that she was a bit.... cautious of people. She was getting used to me which was an extremely good thing.

After we ate I took it upon myself to show her the full pack grounds instead just from the pack hospital to the pack house.

We walked hand in hand as we passed houses, people stopping to say hello and introduce themselves to Lily. They by now know I've found my mate no doubt from my mother. I was ready to introduce her to the whole pack as our Luna but that was only going to be when she was ready and only then will I mark her.

'' What are you thinking?'' I asked. Since yet I couldn't read her thoughts.

She looked up to me with those eyes, brown eyes that I've grown to adore these few days. She let a smile show.

'' Wondering if I made the right choice in coming back. I want to tell you everything but I don't know if I can'' I interlocked with hers as we came to a stop. I looked at her, I mean really looked at her. The little scar above her right eye, how her eyes only slightly sparkle and how she her entire body would change once she thinks about something. Usually something upsetting.

''Then tell me, today, tomorrow, months from now I don't care just tell me when you're ready. I think you made a good choice. I'm not just saying this because we're Mates but because I think you'll be better here''

And that was true. I did think she would be better here. I didn't want her to be scared anymore.
