Love Like This

Distractions

       It has only been a few weeks since the kiss. Dylan has not once left my mind. The way he threw his hands back in his hair was driving me insane. I'm not sure how long I have felt this way, I'm not exactly sure when the feeling started. All I remember is that I have had a crush on him since the beginning of last school year. This is just how long I have liked him. This feeling is completely different, but somehow, I like it. A friend told me once that I am too easy to fall for. He said I was too sweet and pretty to fall for. He was only giving me sympathy. I could tell. It is one thing if you are telling the truth, but this is just straight sympathy. At this point, 'give me liberty or give me death' was an understatement. It was just some guy in history judging his understanding of life. Well, maybe there is something more for me, for the world. Not just liberty, but love, faith, hope, and life itself.

        My thoughts were interrupted when I realized I was in school.  In history  class actually. That is why give me liberty or give me death came to mind. I am slow sometimes.

                        "Lilly, Tell me about the Revolutionary War." My teacher said to me.

                        "What would you like to know?" I responded in a voice that sounded rather Posh.

                        "Who was the Colonel on our side?" She asked.

                        "Colonel George Washington." I replied quickly.

                        "Correct. Alex tell the class---" She continued talking.

       I zoned out after that. I couldn't clear my mind. Then again I also couldn't think. Why was he doing this to me? Does he know? All I can do for now is wonder how things will be tomorrow.

       As soon as I got home, I finished my homework and picked up my phone to dial a phone number. I had called Alex and Jenn. I needed a mall day. Today was only a half day so we got out of school at 11. I called and soon after, Alex and Jenn picked me up and we were on our way.  Jenn left early because she was tired of being there and not doing anything, but I still had Alex, until she wandered off into Claire's completely defying the fact that I was still there. Again, whatever. I walked into forever 21 and bought an ivory crop top, black high waisted shorts, and a few bracelets. As I was walking out I saw a flyer on the wall. It read 'America's Got Talent Auditions this Saturday and Sunday'. Okay, calm down Lilly, stop freaking out. I grabbed the flyer off the wall and shoved it in my bag, this is a great way to get my mind off of Henry. as I was walking out the door, I bumped into someone and I fell over.

                         "Oh my God I'm sorry!!" The boy said to me.

                         " No, its my fault! I am really clumsy!" Then i realized who he was. So much for distractions...
