1. Word vomit and Detention?

I rearranged the strap on my
shoulder as I ran through the halls. Yes you guessed right, I was late.
Usually I would be in school half an hour early but due to my homework that I had stayed up doing, I couldn't wake up in the morning.
I rounded the corner that lead to my locker, It didn't exactly help that my locker was the last one.
As soon as I turned to the left I bumped into a wall and fell on my bottom. My bag fell to the floor beside me with all my things scattered around it.
" Wait.. There isn't supposed to be a wall here" I mumbled confused.
I looked up only to stare into ocean blue eyes. The eyes that belonged no other than Connor Black.
" Falling for me already, kitten?" He smirked.
I gasped, not used to someone talking to me like that, or someone talking to me in general to be exact.
I racked my brain for something appropriate to say but found nothing. I panicked when I knew what was coming, my oh so famous word vomit.
" N-no I just d-didn't see you and i was already late for class, yeah about that I really need to go and Mr. Jackson Doesn't really have patience so if you'll excuse me I need to go yeah and why aren't you in class I mean y-"
My eyes widen as he put his palm over my mouth.
" Shut up, You talk too much" he growled.
Not knowing what to do, I bit down on his hand making him let go and back away from me.
"Ow! what was that for?!"
He shouted angrily.
Oh no I shouldn't have that. I felt like slapping myself. Chloe why would you do that?! I recognised the familiar fear travelling through my whole body. I felt my palms starting to sweat and my knees almost giving in.
No not here, I thought.
" I-I'm s-so sorr-"
'' It doesn't matter, just pick your things up and get out of here"
he said not looking at me.
Paralysed with fear I did what he told me to do, afraid I'll make him even angrier.
I put my books and pencils in my bag and started making my way to history as I had already missed art.
" Hey kitten, you forgot something!" I heard him yell. I turned around slowly only to see him holding something I never knew I had dropped.

A tampon.

"Holy heaven biscuit" I mumbled.

I felt my cheeks flush and my eyes widen behind my big glasses. Oh god what do I do now, should I just walk away? No, I'll just go and get it and try to avoid him till.. Forever? Well you could always deny it, a voice said in my brain.
Brilliant!
Why hadn't I thought of that..

"That's n-not m-mine" I mumbled so quietly I was surprised he even heard me.
"Well it sure as hell is not mine either" he smirked. Oh how I wanted to punch that smirk off his face.

I shuffled back to him trying not to meet his amused eyes.
I'm glad I could keep you entertained,
I thought sarcastlly in my head

"Well you kept me very entertained"
he replied smugly. Wait he heard that? Does he read minds or did I say that out loud?

"Yes, you said it out loud" he replied his smirk growing.

I quickly took the fudging tampon from his hand and walked away, making sure not to look back.

I stood in front of my history class , I still couldn't believe I had missed half the hour.
My thoughts kept drifting back the hallway incident. What was the plan now? I sure as hell don't want to have another encounter with Connor.
I'll just have to avoid him from now on. And I'm pretty sure he has already forgotten about me. I mean he is Connor Black after all, the ultimate bad boy known for his charms and good looks. He could have any girl and I sure as fudge cakes won't be any of them. They're tall, skinny and have long silky hair while I'm stuck being averaged sized and curly hair that's definitely not silky.
So ignoring him for a whole year is your brilliant plan? My brain mocked again.
I only sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Come on Chloe you can do this" I mumbled to myself.
"Just knock on the door" I tried again.

Easier said than done.

I finally brought up the courage to knock on the door.

Moments later Mr. Jackson opened the door.
He looked at me surprised, I wouldn't blame him. Throughout all my high school years I've never been late to class.
"Ms. Jones can you explain to me why you're late to my class?"
He asked calmly.

I laughed nervously.
"Well you see, my dog ate my homework and I had to redo it in the morning. And you know dogs, he started pooping everywhere and I didn't know what to do since I just got him but I had to pick up his poop and it was nasty and I still haven't done the homework but pleas- "

'' Ms. Jones that's enough" he cut me off. I h eard snickering from my classmates and some comments about how wierd i was.

What the hell have I just said? Why couldn't I just keep my mouth shut?

Because you're stupid, the same mocking voice replied.

Shut up.

" I'll just give you a warning since it's the first time this happens'' He scolded.
I mentally cheered.

'' Okey class we'll be discussing the American and French Revolution. Open your books at page 65 and answer the questions"

I slumped down in my seat feeling exhausted from all the running. Opening my bag i was hoping to find my history book waiting to be picked up but found no such thing. I panicked as i started to go through my bag more roughly, but was yet disappointed when i still couldn't find it.

I slowly put my hand In the air hoping Mr. Jackson wouldn't make a big deal about it. Oh boy was I wrong.
"Yes Ms. Jones?" He sighed clearly annoyed with me.
" Well uhm.. I kind of forgot my book in my locker" I said quitley. He sighed loudly.

" Detention Ms. Jones" He said sternly.

My mouth flew open ready to argue but he beat me to it.
" Ms. jones you better not argue unless you want another detention for tomorrow"
My mouth instantly closed.

Well hasn't my morning been lovely.

I thought sarcastlly in my head.
