Chapter 1: Apocalypse

Regular people are gross. How do they live without Gucci and Versace? Daddy says they might not be alive at all, that they're just zombies walking around in t-shirts and jeans. Ew. If you really do look at them though, you'll see it. Bags under their eyes (Ugh, no one gets enough beauty sleep! Except me, of course.), terrible posture, and disgusting groaning sounds that occasionally come out of their mouths when eating their greasy hamburger food. Again, ew.

Daddy's right. The upper class will be the ones to make it through this "apocalypse". We just need to lock up our 5-karat gold doors and wait. Of course, we would send the butlers and maids out for food and new purses. Ugh, I would not be able to live without new purses. Food I could do without, though. Less calories, less fat put onto my body.

Everyone says I'm a queen bee, and I love it. I'm always the center of attention, no matter what we're doing. Everyone at school loves me too. I'm their leader at Evergreen Conservatory. They basically do anything I say, which is handy when I need a new purse during school hours. Daddy loves me too. He spends all his time working, but when he's not working, he's pampering me. It's amazing, since all that money that comes from his "big, corporate job" (as he puts it), goes straight to me and the Daisy Fund. That's funding for me to get a nose job. Daddy says I don't need it, but I want it, so I'm getting it.

I have a routine that I stick to. I get up at 6:00 AM everyday. I shower, put on the outfit I picked the night before, and do my hair. I then go downstairs and have Sterling, our very bald butler, make me my protein smoothie. I have that, go back upstairs, brush my teeth with my whitening toothpaste, do my makeup, and unplug my phone. I always have about two billion texts since I'm so popular. Usually they're from my loving boyfriend Simon, and my two best friends who practically warship me, Paisley and Cecilia. They're both rich, so Daddy lets me have them over all the time.

Anyway, after I check my texts I run back down to Sterling who has my coat and backpack. He helps me put those on, then I peek my head out the front door to make sure there are no regular people begging the driver for a ride in my town car. When there are, I have to walk out shielded by Sterling. Oh, what a faithful butler. I get in the car and go to school, which is boring, boring, boring. Except when I get to see Simon and trash talk with Paisley and Cecilia.

I come outside after school and get in the town car, which is always first in the pick-up line. (We have a pass.) I get driven home and have the house to myself, since Daddy is at work and the house staff is in their rooms in the basement. In that time, I always...um... never mind. That isn't important.

When Daddy gets home I go upstairs to my room. It's bigger than everyone's, even Daddy's. I sit on my queen bed and talk to Paisley and Cecilia on the phone about how stupid and gross normal people are. (Did you know once a homeless person touched my hand? I ran straight home and took three showers and a bath.) After that I just eat dinner and go to bed. Every night I get at least 10 hours of sleep. Beauty sleep is important if you don't want to look ugly, like the zombies.

That's just a normal school day. I won't even tell you how crazy my weekends are, but let me tell you, they're crazy. I guess everyone just wants to get to know me, Daisy Holloway.
