The next day we were packed and ready to go as soon as they let us leave. Our street was escorted to the NASA ship and loaded on. It was kind of like going through the airport security and finding your seat after you get the through all of the lines. After our section, we were on section B, was done loading I went over to see if Kai got settled in alright. I knocked on his door and his mom answered saying that he was inside and she and his dad were going to explore around. Oh, and she said to have fun "hanging" as she said.
"What's up?" Kai says with a bored tone as I walk in.
"Just thought you might like some friendly competition," I say excitedly as I see that he is playing one of my favorite games, Call Of Duty Black Ops 2.
"Oh yeah, it's on!" He yells excited by my challenge. We spend the rest of the afternoon playing, and I end up beating him by 10,000 points.
"OH YEAH!" I smirked.
"How though?" He questions.
"You don't know how many Friday nights I spent playing this game instead of going out," I admit.
"Well, at least you're doing something productive." Kai stated. After that, it was time for me to head home, he gave me a hug at the door and we went our separate ways. Later that night, Kai, Alora, Bastian, Nicolette, Mateo, Gwynn, and I were in a group chat together. Nic and Mateo were chatting about sports and dance while the rest of us talked about anything and everything. There was never a set topic, but it did veer back to the ship and the storm a lot. We now had a set date that we would all get together for a movie night and some people were bringing other friends. Next Monday night, since we didn't have school at all, at Nic's apartment/room. I was completely fine with that. The more the merrier right?
