And he'll never admit that the reason why is because Serena's new outfit. She had been switching everything up lately, her style, her performances, and even her poképuffs came in a whole spectrum of flavors from bitter-tasting to on the slightly spicy and tangy side. They were delicious even so, but not as tantalizing as Serena looked. She bought a new navy blue skirt that was longer on one side and draped down her toned thigh into a neat point. She wore an open-shouldered white blouse that she tied into a bow at her navel. The ribbon I had gifted her she had stylishly tied around her neck in a loose bow, while her hair fell to her shoulders like it always did; so beautifully. She lost her big pink hat that shaded her eyes, and I'm so happy she did, she just looks all the more dazzling. Ash felt faint, first the loss had his mind in a scramble and now it's spinning with thoughts of the girl walking in front of him. Her short, tan, boots crunched through the grass ahead of me and suddenly she turned to look at me. "Ash are you okay, you're awfully quiet and not acting like yourself. That match wasn't even worth accepting, I know something is up. Talk to me" she batted her eyelashes worriedly at me. My cheeks immediately went red and I felt my heart jump. Her eyes are just so bright. "Yeah Serena I'm okay I just feel really dizzy right now, I'll be okay," I smiled lovingly towards her; and she blushed. Clemont yells, "Guys, Bonnie wants to pick berries for dedenne, we'll meet you in Lumiose City at the gym. Here's my key you guys, be careful headed down the slopes." Clemont tossed the keys in our direction as he chased after his little blonde sister. I blushed, and stood there in excitement as I watched them leave, finally some alone time! The keys smacked against my chest though, and Serena caught them before they hit the ground, and that when I realized I was screwed. I really am dizzy and the slopes are approaching. "Serena?" I asked. "Do you have anything for dizziness? I feel like shit honestly." She rummaged through her bag and got me two little painkillers and her bottle of water. "Hopefully this helps you these are painkillers ash. Do you want rest? She stuck out her bottom lip making the most beautiful concerned face I've ever seen. "No.I'm fine." I lied. "Come on," I suggested as we started descending this rugged slope down to the path that leads to Lumiose.
*time jump*
All of a sudden, a gust of wind blowing up from the lands below us causes Serena to slip from her perch atop a boulder and leaving her hanging from a tree below me from her brand new skirt. My heart dropped as I heard her scream for help. She didn't have much time before her skirt tore and she plummeted down the hillside. I risked it all and jumped down to the feeble tree branch, and pulled her back on top of it, and let myself fall on top of a rock 8 ft below her, "ASH" I heard her scream as I landed on my feet, but fell over. My head is aching so badly it hurts to move, but I managed to send out talonflame and noivern to assist Serena just before I feel myself go limp and the world go dark.
*Serena's POV* Talonflame and Noivern both came to my rescue, and Noivern took me onto his back as talonflame screeched and dived down to ash. Oh no. He's bleeding. My heart is racing as I yell ash's name. He's unconscious. "Talonflame can you help carry me down the hillside safely? Noivern needs to carry Ash to Lumiose for help. He needs it ASAP." Talonflame cawed his approval of my plan as I dropped off Noivern to grab a hold of Ash. "Ash.. please get up, please" I pleaded as tears came to my eyes. "Please be okay, please. I love you. I can't do the without you by my side." I cried as I dabbed blood off his brow and ran my fingers through his silky hair. Noivern hoisted ash onto his broad back and zoomed towards Clemont's gym with keys in claw. Talonflame grabbed my shoulders with his massive claws and flew me to Lumiose. I was a lot heavier to Talonflame than Noivern, I knew that Noivern could get Ash to help faster and that's all I wanted. I love that boy so much.
*Time skipssssssss*
Ash opens his eyes to mine on clemont's bed, "Serena what happened," he rasps quietly as if his head still hurts. He was red in the cheeks as he saw my eyes water. "You saved my life Ash. Thank you so much.." I whispered inches away from his face. His amber orbs stared into mine as he said, "I'll do anything to keep you safe, beautiful." Tears fell from my eyes as I heard these beautiful raspy words from the boy I adore. "Don't hate me." I whispered into his lips as I kissed them softly and slowly as I gradually slipped next to him on the bed. I ran my fingers through his hair gently as we kissed so heavenly. "I love you Serena." He confessed. "I'm so madly in love with you. I've never felt like this before." "I love you too, babe." I blushed, as I stole another slow kiss before clemont kills me for making out with Ash on his bed.
