The rain was pounding on the lantern-lit floor. I took a deep breath, it soothed me. The sound of the soft rain. I lifted my head up towards the sky, it was covered by the amount of clouds, not even the moon was able to shine through. I couldn't distinguish the cool liquid running down my face, if it was the gentle rain or my own tears. I narrowed my eyes and lowered my head, I tried to breath. Drops fell down my shaky lips, they tasted salty and bitter at the same time...
I opened my eyes and looked down at myself. My clothing was soaked through, bright blood flowed down my fingers and bounced together with the raindrops down on the dark, wet pavement. "Shit...", I hissed quietly, I pulled my arms into the sleeves of the sweater and directed my eyes to the front.
I started walking home, my knuckles hurting and my eyes burning. Again and again passed the same thought through my mind, the one I despised so much...
