Yuri's POV

Feeling everyone's gazes on me, I knew they were watching for the usual breathtaking performance I give.

They weren't going to be prepared for my failure.

Play Music

Pushing off the ice, I glided across it.

Looking to the side, my eyes locked with Victor's blue ones, coincidentally.

Spreading my legs into eagle, I turned into a spin, touching the ice and feeling as it sped by me in a blur.

As the music picked up, my dance got slightly more violent. Turning to do an triple lutz, my foot slipped and I slid across the ice, people gasping.

Quickly recovering, my routine continued.

'It's happening already.' I thought, panicking slightly.

Doing an triple toe loop, managing to land it, but wavering on the landing, the crowd cheered.

My breath hitched and I looked at the ice below me, seeing fire dance across it.

Ignoring it, although it made me panic more, the music continued.

Slowly, as the music slowed, out of the corner of my eye, I saw my mom.

Turning my head, she vanished and a pillar of fire took her place. Reaching out to the flames, I cried out in pain, the whole stadium going silent as I clutched my head and fell to the ground into a ball.

Seeing a blurred figure running over to me, I heard them call my name.

"Yuri!"

"Yuri, it's alright, I won't leave you."

"But you will!"

It had been 3 months after the burning of the Hasetsu Hot Springs and my mother was the only family member who survived.

My sister had gotten trapped inside her room and the ceiling fell on top of my father.

And my mother was dying from her burns.

I wasn't completely healed with my 3rd degree burns on my shoulder and back but I was well enough to visit my mother.

"Yuri, promise me to not let this burden you. Minako will take you in. Promise me you won't grieve all your life. And lastly, promise me you'll find love when you're older. I know you're too young to understand what it's like to love someone other than a family member but, learn to love."

Stop Music

Opening my eyes gently, I looked up to find blue eyes."Minako, your eyes look weird." I groan, clutching my forhead.

They bent over and let out a low chuckle on my ear."That's because I'm not Minako." Their lips brushed my ear and I jolted up, head butting them in the forehead.

"You certainly don't like the people who help you." He said with a chuckle.

Rubbing my eyes and looking at who it was, my eyes connected with the same blue ones from earlier.

"V-V-Vic-Victo-"

"Victor Nikiforov." Victor finished for me.

About ready to pass out, Victor caught me.

"You really like passing out, don't you?" He asked, breathing into my ear.

My whole face turned bright red, frantically getting away from him.

"Don't worry, we're at your house." Victor said, standing up and getting off the bed, taking a step towards me.

"What happened on the ice? You looked frantic and panicked."

My nerves calming, I turned away so my back was to him.

"It's none of your business."

"Does it have something to do with the burn on your shoulder?" Victor asked, walking up behind me and trailed his fingers up my right arm and to my shoulder, tracing the burn.

Shivering, I blushed."W-why did you help me?" I asked, holding in a breath and mentally cursing myself.

"Ah, yes, that question. Do you really want to know?" He whispered into my ear, nipping it slightly.

My eyes flung open wide."Y-Yes!" I shouted, my ears red with embaressment.

Feeling Victor slowly pull down the right side of my skating costume, my scar visible.

"I want to be your coach."
