Carbon, diamonds. Diamonds, carbon. You wouldn't really put two and two together would you? Come to think of it you wouldn't put happiness and sadness, fantasy and reality, love and hate or even dark and light. But what if you can? In this grim reality that we humans call 'life' , maybe there is a little handful magic, something that we call 'opposites attract'.
CHAPTER ONE
Harry’s P.O.V
“Hey man.” Ben called as I stalked over to my posse.
“Hey.” I replied bluntly, not in the mood for a deep and meaningful conversation right now.
“You going to the gym today?”
“Yeah why wouldn’t I be?” I snapped at him.
He just shrugged his shoulders, oblivious to my rudeness and continued talking to Michael. Ugh he pisses me off.
I walk back to my locker to put my books away and grab out the get the last book out for the day, grabbing a pack of cigarettes, shoving them in my bag quickly as to not be reported by anyone. I slammed the locker behind me startling a few people close by. Like I care.
The bell rings signalling the end of lunch, only two more classes to go before I can leave this shithole I’m attending called high school. I walk slowly knowing its only Science then Health, nothing important.
“You’re late Mr Styles.” Mr Barnett sneers as I walk in I completely ignore him and make my way to the back of the science lab, scanning the rows of bored teenagers who in return stare at me like I am a new species of animal or something.
This nerdy kid by the name of Brian or something like that stood up in his spot with a few papers in his hand and started to make his way to the teacher’s desk, he looked at me timidly. I just pretended not to notice him but as I neared him I shoved my shoulder into him causing him to fall to the floor with a thud and the papers to float down and land in a papery puddle around him. The class started to snigger as a smirk stretched across my face.
“Oh poor baby Brian, I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there, would you like a hand?” I reached my hand out for him but swiftly swept my hair to the side causing Brian to falter and nearly burst into tears. I fake pout and walk off because I don’t give a shit about the kid. I take a seat next to no one. Everyone was kind of intimidated by me so they just move away when I was I wanna sit down. It’s like I’m Jesus or something. Ugh stop thinking that, it is far from the truth about me.
“Harry.” Mr Barnett’s voice shatters my thoughts. “I called your name three time Harry, three times.”
I rolled my eyes.
“What was that? That is no way to treat a teacher or student Harry.”
“I don’t care.”
“Harry.” He warned.
“What did you want, spit it out already?” My patience was growing thin.
“Harry, that’s it get outside and wait a second.” He pointed his bony finger towards to door signalling my way out.
“Well fuck you too.” I shout, folding my arms across my chest.
“Harry get to the principal’s office now, that language will not be tolerated!!!” I rolled my eyes again, one day they roll right back into my head from rolling them at teachers and students all the time. I strolled over to the classroom door casually before turning around smirking at Mr Barnett then with two swift strides out the door is slammed with a thunderous bang that echoed through the school halls.
