• Nellie's P.O.V •

I wake up and I see Kenleey is still asleep so I get up without waking him and walk to the bathroom shutting the door. I look in the mirror and see my face dirty, my Burgundy hair was messy. I can officially say I'm ugly, my eyes were dull and my clothes were dirty and covered in zombie guts. Never thought I would be like this. Alive in the zombie apocalypse, isn't that just wonderful.
    I try getting some dirt off my face just making it worst. I go get my bag and I get new clothes and change quickly. I brush my hair and put it up in a ponytail. I walk out and see Kenleey still peacefully asleep. I got outside and see Javier by himself. I ignore him and I sit down on the steps.
    I started thinking about things but got interrupted by screams that were near the gate entrance. I look at Javier and we both run to the screams with our weapons, we stop to see it was some girl and a boy. They had about 5 z's around them so me and Javier help them. Once the z's were gone we looked at each other and then at the boy and girl.
    "Who may you be"I ask
    "Lilian or lily" the girl said
    "Tanner" the boy said
    "I'm Nellie, this is Javier" I said
    "We're friendly" lily says
    "We are too" I said "wanna come meet the others?" I ask
    "We need some water" tanner says
    "Follow us" I said as me and Javier start walking back with them behind us
I look to see the others outside but Kenleey of course.
"This is lily and tanner" I said
"Why did you bring them in?" Savannah asked
"We're not assholes" I said
"But we don't know them" destiny said
"We need more people, since we lost some" I said
"Who's fault is that" Javier says
"they asked for it" I said" I'll go get Kenleey"
"I'll watch them"Javier said
I walk to the room Kenleey was laying in and I see him awake and just staring at the ceiling.
"Kenleey we got some people, you wanna come meet them" I asked
"Yeah, help me up"he said
I walk over and help him up. He almost falls but I catch him.
"Are you are you can walk" I asked
"Yeah I'm fine"he said as he started walking on his own
We get outside and the others were talking to the new people.
"This is our leader Kenleey" I said making everyone turn to me.
"I'm tanner" the new boy says
"I'm lily or Lillian" the new girl said
Kenleey just nods and shakes hands with them both. I could tell he was reading them to see how they were.
"Kenleey say hi don't be rude" Javier said
"Sorry, hi I'm Kenleey and I'm the leader" he said sarcastically
"We are sorry for being in your space but we kinda got separated from our group a few miles back and need help finding them" tanner said
"How far back" I asked
"Not to far, its in the woods, we ran into a group of walkers" lily said
"We'll send a group to help you find them" i said
"Who said you were the leader" Kenleey said
"When you almost got your ass beat, your in pain so I'll take the leaders place until your better" I said
"Um....no"he said
"Yes Kenleey now go back to your bed"I said
"No"he said
"Fine be that way, I won't help you anymore"I said
"I don't need it anyways"he said as he tried walking away but fell to the ground and groaned in pain.
"Don't need it huh" I said "okay"
"Help me"he said
"But I thoug-"he cut me off
"Just fucking help me"he said as I grabbed his hand and helped him up
"Nellie pick a group to send with them to help them find there group just for the rest over the day tho, we need our people."Kenleey said to me
"Got IT boss"I said making him smile when I called him boss
I walk over to the whole group and started looking around and decided on a group
"Caitlyn,me, and Javier" I said "we get our shit and we head out then come back before it gets dark"
    "Got it"Caitlyn says as her and Javier both go get there stuff
    "Meet me at the gate"I yell as I turn to the others and see tanner and lily ready to go.
    "Let me go tell Kenleey what's happening, you guys just go to the gate and stay there"I said as I walk to mine and Kenleeys house and walk in to see him on the couch
    "Me,Caitlyn, and Javier are going"I said sitting next to him
    "You guys better be back before dark or I'll go looking for you" he said
    "I know, I got it boss" I said as I get back up and started walking out the door but run back to Kenleey and kiss his cheek before I leave.
    "Be safe"he said
    "I got this" i said as I walked out the door and started my way down to the gate
    I see everyone waiting for me so I jog over
    "Let's get this show on the road my people" i said as I open the gate and let everyone threw before shutting it behind me
