Chapter 19

~Niall's POV~

I rubbed my eyes, not believing what was I seeing. I watched as 'Tony' giggled gently, looking at Luke and Ashton with his bright eyes. I was silently praying that this was a dream, except for River having my kids.

I had watched a social worker take Tony away from River, Ashton and Luke.

"Bud," Tony giggles.

I blinked again.

"Bud," Tony says again, this time more distressed, as if he thought I didn't know him.

"Daddy," 'Tony' cries to Ashton, "Why Bud no speak?".

I knew River didn't know if this was Tony or not. She had tears in her eyes and her hands covered her mouth. She began to cry, hiccuping as she did. 'Tony' hid behind Ashton, doing the same thing River did as he cries.

"How," I ask, still not believing.

"The paperwork and reason he was taken fell through," Luke says, "River didn't willingly give him up.".

River kept hiccuping, startling Rylan and Malik. They wailed softly, kicking their little feet and flailing their little arms.

River was soon having a panic attack. I sat beside her and pulled her on my lap. She kept panicking and hiccuping.

'Tony' ran over to us and climbed up on the bed, then he cuddled River. Something must've snapped inside of her as she cuddled back, the wheels turning in her head.

"My baby boy is back," she mumbled, then I noticed 'Tony' looked exactly like River.

"Bud," I say.

"Bud," he giggles, just like the time he said that on mine and River's second date.

I hug my girlfriend and her oldest son. Tony cuddled, yawning softly as he did. I smiled gently, happily crying.

I soon noticed that Tony and River had fallen asleep, but the twins were still fussy.

With Ashton's help, I feed and change the twins. They calm down and sleep in my arms.

One happy family. Yet soon, I'm gonna ask River to be my wife...
