Life sucks plain and simple. Friends that turn on you, monsters that try to snap your neck, and hot guys that can’t get over themselves. I've been stuck in these woods all my life, training for the moment that was about to happen. The red button flickered in the dark room that I stayed in. I couldn’t stop staring at it, my life depended on what would happen next.

The growling dogs waited outside my room, waiting for me to run. The button hummed gently and I started to reach for it. I could hear the footsteps coming closer, my heart beat raced and my fingers shook. I quickly tapped the button and sprinted out the door. Dogs ran after me, snapping at my feet. I could hear the sirens buzzing around me and the red lights flashing.

I was out. I could feel the winter’s cold air wipping around me as I ran through the forest. Looking back, the camp grew smaller. I ran until the camp wasn’t in sight, I collapsed on the snowy ground. My legs ached and my lungs stung.

After 6 years of being locked in that camp, I was out. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the word used to be. The tall trees towered over me with no leaves and only a soft blanket of snow. It smelled like pine… and blood?

I could hear growling and soft whimpering. An animal’s snapping muzzle caused whatever it was that it was attacking to howl out in pain. I followed the sounds skillfully and quietly, and what I saw had me start to tremble from fear.

There was a beast, blood clung to its fur, knotting it and making it look gruesome and evil. The wolf was pinned under the beast, shaking and whimpering. Blood splattered against its white and gray fur. Its eyes met mine, and they pleaded, asking me to help it.

Not knowing what I was doing I grabbed the beast and pressed a point on the middle of its spine, it collapsed and I quickly snapped the beast’s neck. I picked up the wolf that was now limp and fragile and walked to the lights that I could see, streaming through the night’s darkness.

I set it down under a tree as its head shook from side to side and its body trembled and bones snapped. Backing away, I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know what was happening to it. I stared at it as its fur ripped from its body, revealing flesh from underneath.

(will update later. Enjoy.)
