Vic's POV
The chill of January doesn't really get to me, but I'm really getting tired of it. I may have my extra body heat, but sometimes, it's not enough to block out all of the cold. I can't control my heat like (y/n), but I wish I could.
We're walking into school, finally getting out of the frosty weather. "So we still haven't gotten a new principal?" Mike asked (y/n).
"Not that I know of. Just watch Morgan come back." (Y/n) answered.
"I don't know if she'll ever come back, you scared her a lot, (y/n)." I chuckled.
"Oh, please, I didn't do much." She shook her head. "You humiliated her in front of the whole school. We helped you carry out your plan. She's probably never coming back." I said, poking (y/n) on her side. "Hey! Ah! That tickles." She squeaked. I poked her a couple more times on both of her sides. "Ah! Stoopppp." She lightly smacked my hands away. I chuckled at how she reacted...she's so cute.
We stood in our normal spots until the bell rung, we stand under the main stairwell. Everyone makes sure that they stay away from there cuz if we ever find a different group in our spot, it's going down.
(Y/n) always stood in the same place every morning...next to me. I put my right arm around her to always keep her close. She stepped closer to me and leaned on me. Her music is up loud, I can hear it; then again, I can hear mostly everything.
I felt someone watching me, so I scanned the scene, maybe meeting eyes with whoever was looking at me. I looked around until my eyes caught two blue orbs darting out of my sight once we met. Andy was the one staring...I wonder why. For whatever reason he was staring, it was for a pretty long time cuz I could actually feel his eyes pulling for my attention.
The bell rang and (y/n) jumped onto my back, ordering me to take her to our first class. "My back is gonna get enough of you one day and I won't be able to carry you everywhere." I groaned. "You're gonna have to get used to it. If you want my dad to keep you as the top choice of being my betrothed, you have to be strong. Strong enough to carry me. What kind of pack member are you if you can't carry your leader?" She told me.
"If I couldn't carry a small thing like you, I'd be the weakest pack member in the history of werewolves." I whispered.
"That's right! So you gotta be tough to keep your reputation as the most brutal male in the pack." She whispered back.
"The toughest male that isn't related to you." I specified.
Jaime would be the strongest if I wasn't part of the pack, but since he's related to (y/n), he isn't considered a regular pack member. I'm the strongest pack member, Jaime's the strongest male royal.
"How does it feel to be a royal?" I asked her. I really do wonder what it feels like to be of royalty. "Being a royal is actually kinda stressful. I have to know certain things, do certain things, I have restrictions...honestly, I wish I was just another pack member. There's a lot I need to prepare myself for. I need to keep the peace between the vamps and us, I need to write to the other three packs out there and see how they're doing. It's...crazy...but this summer, it will be my responsibility." She sighed.
"Don't worry, I'll be there to help you." I assured her. "Yea...you will be there." She said. There's...something about the way she said it though. Hm.

When we got home, (y/n) went upstairs to talk to Kaytlynn like she always does now. I remember when it was really just her and I talking to each other.
Well...while she talked to Kaytlynn, I talked with my brother Mike in his room.
"Hey, little brother. Sup?" I said, sitting next to him on his top bunk. "Eh, nothing really, and you? Anything new with the (y/n) status?" He asked me. "There is nothing. But I can't let her go. Just being friends with her is torture. I need to be with her. But how? She doesn't like me like that."
