The year is 4998. All human civilizations have failed. Mind-less zombies roam the earth. The ancient gods have been discussing a system for the remaining population.
Zeus: "We must do something to destroy these beings!"
Hades: "Our people are dying! Why must you be so...so calm about this Jupiter?!"
Jupiter: "We must be rational and strategic about this, one wrong move and everything fails."
As the Gods and Goddesses bicker about the well-being of their planet, humans in America still haven't been attacked. Well, the bigger cities have been, but one town in New Hampshire hasn't been.

Elijah Huff is a Strange child. Even though he has lived in Rochester, NH, all his life, he was never used to being alone during a blizzard.
His mother always bought tickets to California for her and her boyfriend at the time. This week it was David, an Army soldier on break. Elijah wished he could punch that grin ever present on his face.
Anyway, that whore of a mother was going on a trip. She would probably come home drunk, high, pregnant, and single. Only to have to have it aborted. That has been the routine since his dad died. Every holiday, birthday, anniversary, et cetera.
If only Elijah knew his mother wasn't coming back....
