I started running when I saw that I was late. Everyone was in their plastic cages full of gear. I saw the rock climbing training room being built. I had asked for a rock climbing set a long time ago but ironically they could not get the wall into Hell so they took it apart and now they are setting it up all over again. I hope I get the chance to be the first one to try it.
I finally got to my room. I saw my mother writing some thing down.
I wasn't even fully in the room when she said "Your late." with a smug look on her face.
"It took a while to get here. I am sorry." I replied.
"You were the one who wanted to train early. Yes?" she said with a plain look.
"Yes."
"Then don't waste my time." she said while throwing the pencil she was holding in her hand straight at me. I moved to the right so it would not hit me. She must have thought it was very funny because I could see a smile creeping on to her face.
"Well, should we get started?" she asked now with a smile on her face.
I never replied but she moved on.
I chose to go over boxing again because I found it fun. My mother had allowed me because she didn't want to go through the trouble of building another room.
I saw the gear laying out on a table. Everything was custom and set. Every year we had to go and get measured to make sure we were comfortable. That was the only time I really saw all the other kid and teen assassins. I always have had a headache on fitting day.
My mother had already tested me on the gear names. That was always the first part, you had to learn the gear. I have heard other assassins have a week or so to memorize their gear but not me. I was special so I got one day.
My list that I had to memorize was:
- Sparring gloves
- Sparring headgear
- Body protector
- Punch mitts
- Heavy bags (they can vary in weight)
- Punching bag
- Rebound bag
- Striking gloves
- and other small things (shirt, hoodie, etc.)
Of course I had to remember it for a pop quiz. The last quiz I took was all about karate. I mastered karate 3 years ago. These quizzes were a pain in the neck. I heard that you would get punished if you didn't remember the gear. I,myself, have never forgotten any of those things so I really don't know. Maybe I should fail and find out. Its unthinkable though. I would never let my step brother get on a higher level than me. I have never failed and I plan on keeping it that way.
The room for boxing lessons was split into three areas. The gear area, boxing rink area and the training area which had the punching bags. I put on my boxing gear and got into the rink. My mother was already done and waiting for me.
"Lets start with polishing your jabs, uppercuts, hooks and cross." my mother said before coming towards me.
