The One Who Awoke

The first speech

It was 9/24/2016, the date Jones would finally let loss of his mind. Located within New Jersey, in Totowa to be exact. There was a large room with rows and rows of chairs, all filled with people, in front was the podium with a mic that awaited the speaker. After several seconds, Jones, the speaker, had finally arrived. He made his way onto the podium before standing in front of the mic as he prepared to talk. Taking a deep breath, he finally began to speak. "Hello, my name is Jones. I'm thankful for your time. Today I'll be talking about what runs through my mind so brace yourself because I will be going deep, fast, and it might take some effort understanding me. Okay, first, I wanna talk about why we will never be able to venture elsewhere into the galaxy and a little of technology with a mixture of peace. If humans never master unity than we will truly get nowhere. Before a race is allowed to leave there home they must master peace so that they do not cause more destruction than they already do, but it seems as if humans have a hard time doing this.. We all split ourselves up, look at the life we are living now. no, correction, we're surviving, not living, but anyways.. we have all of these wars over a line of land or supplies. Us humans, created nuclear warfare. Now, how can we ever dream of witnessing another galaxy if we can't stay on the same planet without blowing each other up!? Can someone please tell me? So we want to leave earth in the shape we are in? We cannot, humanity must master unity before anything. Let me tell you what would happen if we gained the technology to venture elsewhere without unity, use earth as an example, we wage wars over stupid things. I'm gonna cut into what would happen if we were also unity too real fast. If humans achieved unity than we could further advance in technology within a shorter amount of time than we do when unity isn't one with us. Working together may grant access for us to travel elsewhere and spread humanity onto different planets. If we also achieved perfect peace, than there would be nothing to worry about with humanity growing on different planets but if we somehow managed to go elsewhere without unity and peace than we would only bring more destruction than we do already. Obviously, if we gain the technology to accomplish that then new weaponry would be right behind our tails too. Nukes, they cause unimaginable destruction and mayhem. Now, if this is happening with the same race that lives on the same planet, if we expanded onto other planets and two planets began to have conflicted, they'd wage war, it's what humans do because they're idiots. With that war and the technology, do you realize how much devastation would be cause? I know I've taken a lot of your time so I'll start ending this up. Aliens, many people don't believe them but that's a different topic, though I'm going to use them as an example. Aliens have achieved peace and if they wanted us dead we would all be dead already since there so advanced. That is something us humans must learn how to do before we can leave our familiar home. Unity and peace is what humans need before anything, if not we will be in a endless loop of advancement & destruction. Don't forget, I didn't even get into how we're poison to our own planet. Thank you for your time!" Jones smiled at the crowd as they began to clap and stand up so they may leave. After the speech Jones just headed home to prepare for another speech that was soon coming up, this was only one of many.
