Journey Through the Woods

Chapter 1: The Forest

There's a forest, at the edge of town, its said that if someone goes in they never come out. Until one night a person, a guy came out running, sprinting even. As if someone; something was chasing him; he didn't know what it was just that he need to escape its grasp. Town was just a few meters away, but one slip up and his chance would be lost. He charged into town but that didn't stop the "thing". The guy knew he wasnt safe but it was better then being out in the open. The beast ripped up everything in his path, until it found the guy.

That was 4 days ago. The town is still under repairs. And that guy, he was my best friend. He got dared to go in there. He didn't listen. I told him. There's something in there! But no. He just ignored me. Now look where he is. He could be dead. I guess it was his fault but. I have a feeling, I dont really know. I just have a feeling. Like he's in a whole different place, universe even. Dont ask why. Probably because I don't want the idea that he's dead. But if there is a whole other universe. Wouldn't that be great? If all problems were swept away, but only people who, I don't know maybe did something to prove their worthy. Beats me. One day I will find out. And I will get my best friend back. Aw by the way this is my journal for the next few days while, I journey through the woods.You probably think I'm crazy, most people do but that doesn't hold me back.

First things first, equipment, I need to have everything, I could run into anything in there. Luckily I've read stories all about supernatural creatures. There probably not all right but I hope so. I'm going to take the most reliable, in my opinion, the "monsters book of monsters." Its been in the generation for ages. What else? A gun. Salt. Garlic. Wooden stake. Just all the regular items you need. Wolfs bane. In case there's werewolves. Probably will be to make the story good like but nobody knows. I need plenty of food might be there for days. Weeks. Months even. Thats if I survive that long.

Those books are quite helpful. There's loads of information. I dont think I can remember it all but I'm going to try. If I have to survive. It says that werewolves can be killed by using silver, do knives and forks work. This stuffs hard. There's like pages and pages, handwritten by my ansesters, looks like they crossed paths. I wonder, what if they met the creature who took all those people, what if they've been in there. They survived. My friend wasn't the only one who survived the woods. It could be, maybe there's a portal. I'm just not ready, I wish, I wish I could talk to someone about it. But I don't want to sound crazy. Do I sound crazy to you? OMG I'M GOING CRAZY!! I'm talking to a journal for gods sake.

The woods are further than I thought. Seems I've been walking for miles. I know that my friend ran but he was a lot fitter than me. The last 16 years of my life I watched tv and ate take aways. Not the best life but I liked it. Just no worries. No one to care about expect my family. But that's about to change. Probably full of running, running and more running, being chases by the creatures of the woods. Is my life really about to change?

Just a few feet till I reach the border. All I can see is darkness. Along the horizon trees fill the area, once I step in I'll probably loose site of town. Ive equipped myself with a knife so 1: I can carve my initials to mark which way ive came also its like a thing saying "yeh I survived the woods, what you gonna do bout it?" 2: I can defend myself. 3: I look badass with it and it's very stylish. Picked my outfit to match. Is salt actually useful? Like does it harm them or is that a myth, because I smothered my knife in it. God here I am again talking to the journal again. Really need to stop doing that. You probably wanna here what happens not me constantly wondering if household items can save you. But it would be good to know. You know just incase your in the situation. You probably won't be but who cares as long as you think you're learning something.

A whole new world, opposite to ours,the forest boarder seperates us. You transport into a world with beauty, color, passion, all weird and wonderful creatures. Grass so luscious, sky so blue, leaves so green, butterflies all different shapes, sizes and colors surround me. Like a dream that your stuck in, wishing you don't have to wake up. Creatures pass without a care in the world: small ones, large ones, fluffy ones and hairless ones. Each pass with a look that locks onto me like I don't fit, probably because I don't but they don't need to know that. I ask around hoping one of them will tell me where I can go, do they even talk or just glare at each other and read their minds? Pacing back and forth is starting to make me look a bit out of place but that never stopped me before. FINALLY!!! A person who looks normal! Sorry guys have to go if I wanna know where I am, where I need to go and all the other stuff. I wonder what language do they speak? Please be English or Spanish: please be a language I know. Right guys I quess I will keep you updated in the next entry hopefully I will know something by then. Bye guys.
