"Yeah, it's 'Well shit.'" He rolled his eyes.

He diverted his eyes back to the road. I sighed and felt my eyes tear up, not for the first time today. I smiled softly. I was like a water tap today. The tears wouldn't stop coming, but a lot of bad stuff has happened to me all at once. Oh god, Eliza, her day has probably been the worst. I just, I just can't believe she's gone. The second worst part is that I can't even say that she died happy. She died emotionally and physically in pain. Her last months were horrible and her last minutes were unbearable.

I blinked. I needed a distraction. Sighing, I faced my so called 'Knight In Shining Armour'. He had knotted, matted, shaggy, blonde hair. His hair was left over one side of his head. His eyes were a dark brown and focused on the road. His clothes looked like they were found in the dumpster and then patches sown on by a four year old.

He noticed me staring at him. "You ok?" He asked, turning onto a dirt road. The car was now surrounded in trees.

"Where are we goin'?" I asked. My voice vibrating and shaking as we went over bumps and potholes.

He grinned and tapped the side of his nose. I rolled my eyes. "Wow. Real mature."

He chuckled, "We're going to my camp."

"Wouldn't the demon eventually track us down?" I frowned.

"Yes. But here's where the fun part comes in, we never stay in the same place for more than a week."

I pulled a face. "Ew, gross. How are we going to shower?"

He laughed, shaking his head. "Typical girl, we bathe in ponds and if we're lucky, rivers."

I clipped him over the head "Don't be a sexist."

"I'm not, I'm not. It's just that every minute we spend out here we could possibly be killed and your first reaction is 'How are we going to shower?' It's just every girl has said that, that's all."

I narrowed my eyes, fuck him. He rolled the car into the tree line. I looked out the window.
"What are we doing?" I asked.

He rolled his eyes. "Going to Neverland" I scowled. "We need to park and cover the car then walk to my camp? Are you ok with getting your princess shoes muddy?" He mocked.

"I'm fine with shoving them so far down your throat you suffocate." I muttered.

He stepped back. "This ones feisty"

I glared at the boy "Damn right I am." He smirked. "So what are we doing anyways?"

He walked over to a tree, before jumping up and grabbing a branch. I raised my eyebrow. He pulled the branch over the car, I could hear the branch splintering. He pulled it over the far side of the car before snagging it onto a hook.  I jogged over to go help.

"No, we need to move back" he grabbed my hand and pulled me a safe distance away. We stayed in that position, staring at the tree expectantly.

"I swear to god if this is-" I was cut off by the tree snapping up, throwing a tarp- of some sort- over the car. I jumped. The boy smiled at me and gave my hand a reassuring squeeze. I smile back. I looked down at our hands. His hand was still in mine. I leapt up out of my crouch, accidentally toppling him over. He looked bewildered up at me, still on his back. I chuckled to myself, he looked like a tortoise on its back.

I held out my hand to him. "Get up, Yoshi." he grabbed my hand and to pull himself up, all the while glaring at me.
"Yoshi?" He scrunched up his nose.

I smiled. "Yeah, Yoshi."

"Who the fuck is Yoshi."
I shook my head is disbelief. "You don't know who Yoshi is." He shook his head. "Jesus Christ, you must of had a shit childhood" I laughed, whispering the swear word.
