I woke up to beeping noise. I listened carefully for anything moving before opening my eyes.
It was a white room, neatly arranged. I looked to were the beeping cane from. Machines. I sighed.
I looked at myself. I was in a hospital gown and had an iV in my vain. I reached to feel my head.
Bandaged and sore to the touch.
"Great," I muttered to myself.
I heared a knock on the door and in came a red head liutenit.
"Your awake," he said, sounding surprised.
"Yeah. What happened? When did I come to a hospital?" I asked.
"Well, you fell and hit your head pretty bad. Detective Duquesne and I had just arrived at your door when we heard you fall. We got in and got you to the hospital," Horatio concluded.
"Yea me!" I responded sarcastically.
Horatio chuckled, "how are you feeling?"
"Ive had better days, but I've also had worse. So I guess im doing fine," I responded.
"Doctors said it was pretty easy for you to knock yourself out, due to a past injury. Where did it come from?'
I sighed. I didn't want to remember that night, "I was in a bad car crash about 24 years ago," I said. Hoping he would just get the point and not anymore of it.
Horatio seemed to understand, so he just nodded.
It was quiet after that, so I asked an obvious question, "Why were you and another detective- which I haven't met yet, by the way- at my apartment?"
"We came to ask you if you heard anything unusual outside. There was a murder right across the street," Horatio responded.
"Well to answer your question, I hadn't heard anything. I had just came from the bathroom when you knocked and scared me. Then I fell," I answered.
Horatio nodded. He seemed distracted.
"You like your thinking, what's up?" I asked.
"Nothing, but I think I've got a new lead. I have to go. I'll send Detective Duquesne up later to check in on you," Horatio responded.
I nodded.
Horatio got up and began to leave. It was difficult to comprehend that Horatio was the one to hit me with his gun. He was gentle and caring, something thats usually not found to often in cops.

Later that evening, doctors said I could leave. They gave me instructions to not bump my head any during next week or so, and to come in next month to get it checked.
As I was signing the leave form, a hand touched my shoulder. I turned to look at the stranger.
Blonde haired, and strongly built. The woman smiled at me, and hels out her hand.
"Im Calliegh Duquesne, Horatio sent me to check on you," She said.
I smiled and shook her hand, "It's good to meet you. I was just about to leave."
"Im guessing you feel better then?"
"Yeah, I've had worse," I said
She smiled, "I'll walk you to your motorcycle," she said.
"They brought my bike? I thought I would have to call a taxi," I said.
"Of course we bought your bike," Calliegh said as she lead the way out of the hospital.
I followed her and excitedly found my bike.
I smiled and climbed on, "thanks, for all the help the department given me," I thanked her.
"Of course, it's our job it help," she smiled.
"Its been a pleasure talking to you, but I fear I have Hermit Crabs that are in need of fresh food and water," I said, as I put on my helmet.
"Goodbye then," Calliegh said. I waved and started up the bike.
She walked off and I rode off towards my apartment.
I arrived without any mishaps. I checked in at the desk and made my way to my apartment.
I walked in and quickly took care of Hades and Apollo. I was about to go and change into pajamas and go to bed early, considering I have work tomorrow, when there was a knock on my door.
I sighed and opened the door. I had been expecting Horatio, or one of the hotel workers. I almost jumped back when I saw them.
Ruby, and our brother, Steve, stood staring at me.
