When There's Fire There's Smoke.

Chapter one

  Asher and Scarlet have always been friends since they were 6 to be exact. Scarlet the girl you'd expect to see in a mall looking for shoes and Asher the least likely of people to be there. Asher is tall and has black hair and blue eyes. Scarlet is short standing at 5'0" and has bright red hair to match her red eyes. "You know you really need to get outside more" said Scarlet looking at Asher who is laying on the couch watching TV "I really don't see the problem of me sleeping all day" said Asher who clearly wants to stay inside all day. Scarlet messed with her pastel pink dress and giggled.

  Asher looked at her questioning why she giggled "what are you thinking of" she said just as Scarlet sat on Asher giggling more. "Fuck you're small but heavy" Asher said clearly gasping for air. Scarlet frowned "Aw come on you meanie I'm not that heavy". Asher laughed "yeah you aren't I was just trying to be funny" she said as she picked up Scarlet and sat up. "Hey Scarlet have you ever questioned who you are?" Asher said seriously. Scarlet looked at Asher scared and concerned "no why?".

  "I...it's nothing I promise" Asher smiled trying to get Scarlet to not worry. Scarlet "is something wrong Asher you know you can tell me anything". "Like I said it's nothing I was just wondering" Asher leaned back onto the couch and slouched down and watched TV again. Scarlet gave up and kissed Asher's cheek "well I'm gonna get going I'll see you tomorrow" Asher just nodded and got up at the sound of the front door closing and went to the kitchen to make some food. She sighed when she opened the fridge seeing she forgot to go to the store again. She didn't forget she just didn't want to drive 30 minutes to get to a store because she lives on a one lane island.

  "Ughhhhh guess I have to go to the store" goes and puts on some actual clothes then leaves the house going to the store. Where she runs into an ex who still doesn't understand it was one time, Alec. Alec waved and smiled then walked over to Asher and hugged her but Asher pushed him off gently. "I would rather not hug" Asher said in an uncomfortable voice. Alec looked at her very confused "Why not you used to love my hugs". Asher looked at him and said in a very annoyed voice "I don't have time for this so please just leave me alone", Alec left and stayed away from her for the whole shopping trip.

  Back at home Asher put her food away then ate and lied on the couch. "Ughhhhh why me of all people have to run into their ex's more than once a week" she said covering her face with a pillow. Clearly exhausted she went to her room and changed into her PJ'S which was just a shirt and some comfy pants then she lied in her bed and turned on her laptop. She played a few of her favorite computer games and went on Tumblr and stuff. She turned off her laptop and texted goodnight to Scarlet and smiled then put her phone on charge, she fell asleep once she lied down and closed her eyes. Asher always dreamed of her and Scarlet but Alec always ruined the dream making it into a nightmare.
