It felt like yesterday when I was finally born into this world...and now i'm fading away just as fast.
I watch out the window as my one true friend walks away leaving me all alone with no one.
I remember when I first saw her I didn't even know what happened. A light, I remember seeing a bright light flash in front of me I was scared but still ran towards it and the first thing I saw was her. Her eyes, her eyes were like the ocean, a never ending sea of blue and her smile I love seeing her smile it would make my heart jump when she smiled at me, but now I'll never see her smile again as for I am fading.
I don't know what's going to happen to me, yes, i'm scared terrified even but as long as I know that my friend is smiling I'll be happy I could fade with a bright smile on my face.
I just wish she could see me one last time before I vanish for good and give me that smile I loved so dearly
One. Last. Time.
Does it hurt? No I can't even feel anything, just the pain that's in my heart knowing I'll never be with my friend again. Hey, maybe one day I'll come back and be friends with another child and make him or her smile as brightly as this one.
Please can't I see her one last time before I go?
The bedroom door slams behind me, I turn around and see my friend on her bed crying.
"Why? Why are you crying? Please don't cry. I'm here, so please smile for me before I fade."
I place my now fading hand on her back and wipe the falling tears down her rosy red cheeks.
I hear her whisper the words I never thought I'd hear again
"Pixie? Is that you?"
"Yes It's me." and just like that I faded away into the darkness.
