=Amy Winters=
"I love you..." I whispered, my gaze drifted from Jason Stewart to his soon to be bride, my best friend, Mira Thompson. Tears formed in my crystal blue eyes. He smiled from the alter at her, her beautiful green eyes shone, and her bright red hair was pulled tightly into a neat bun. The dress was beautiful as well, blue butterflies decorated the dress, it was white and had lace flowers all over it, it was a gorgeous outdoor wedding as well. The only problem was, I wished it was my wedding to Jason, it was selfish of me to pity myself on my best friend's wedding day. I saw her reach the alter, the preacher started speaking, "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the wedding of Mira Thompson and Jason Stewart, if anyone objects this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace." He announced. I stood silent, the little voice inside of my head wanted to yell that I objected, I couldn't ruin Mira's special day.
-
"Mira, Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" He said.
-
"I do!" She squeaked.
-
"Jason, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?" He asked.
-
Jason looked at me, I turned to leave, tears ran down my cheeks, I started running, abandoning my high heels at the chair.   My heart pounded against my chest as I continued running.
-
"I-I..." was all I heard Jason say.
-
"Amy! Look out!" I heard him yell.
-
"What?" I saw a white car come closer at full speed, it was on the wrong lane with another car coming from the other side, I started to run to the other side of the street, but I felt it. The impulse from the cars crashing into each other made one car explode, I felt a sharp pain at the back of my neck as I collapsed on the smooth concrete, fire started at one vehicle as I laid on the ground, tears ran down my face and blood leaked out of my head, I felt my vision start getting blurry.
-
"Amy! You have to stay alive!" Jason rushed to my side, the man driving the truck called the ambulance, my vision went completely blurry.
-
"I love you Jason...I love you so much..." I said as I held his hand tightly.
-
"You idiot! You should've told me earlier, I love you too..." he said as he kissed me, I tried my best to hide it from Mira, I finally felt life escape me. My heart beat slowed and my vision went black.
-
-
=Jason's POV=
"Someone call an ambulance!" I screamed with tears running down my cheeks. I looked at Mira, instead of showing concern for her best friend she looked angry.
-
"Jason, leave her, the ambulance will take care of it, let's go back and carry on with the wedding." She mumbled.
-
"Are you kidding me?...your best friend just got involved in a damn car accident and you want to keep going with the stupid fucking wedding?...how selfish can you fucking be Mira!? Can't you see I'm not emotionally prepared to be with you right now?! What is your problem!?" I yelled. My mother came forward and looked at Amy.
-
"If the ambulance doesn't get here soon Jason...she is out of time..." she informed me.
-
"Bring her to my car. I'll get her there quickly." I told her, my father helped bring Amy to my small car. I told them to put her in the passenger seat as I got the car started. The set her down carefully, her beautiful face stained with dried tears and blood and her eyes closed. I started driving, Mira glared at me, I didn't care. All I needed was for Amy to be alright. I speeded past the busy intersections, trying to get there on time.  The building came into view, I glanced over at Amy, her breathing was faint, about to stop. I speeded past a cop car as I reached the hospital, I didn't care if I blocked people from getting in, Amy was the first priority.
-
"What do you think you're doing?!" I heard someone say.
-
I turned to see Mira getting out of her car. "Isn't it obvious? I'm getting her to the hospital." I said as I picked up Amy from the passenger seat and brought her inside, Mira closely followed, my shoulders tensed up as I entered the building, the smell of rubbing alcohol and metal filled my senses as I ran to the front desk.
-
"We need a Doctor, now!" I yelled the nurse looked at Amy and nodded. I followed her to the nearest emergency room, tears flowing down my cheeks as they took Amy from me. Blood stained my suit but I didn't care, Mira grabbed my arm and turned me to face her.
-
"This better be more important than our fucking wedding, I don't care if she is dead or not you have to explain yourself for interrupting." She whispered sternly.
-
"Are you Serious right now!? Amy just got seriously hurt, that's more important than our fucking  wedding, what is wrong with you Mira!?" I didn't care that people gave us looks, I was completely disgusted with Mira for wanting to get married after her best friend was possibly dead, why did Amy run anyways? It didn't matter now, I was not leaving this hospital until Amy woke up. I took a seat in the waiting room and Mira went off to her car to find a change of clothes.
-
"So..who are you waiting for Jason?" I heard a familiar voice say.
-
"Kyle?" I looked next to me to see the familiar boy with shoulder length black hair and blue eyes.
-
"That's me." He laughed.
-
"I'm here for Amy...she got involved in a car crash...during my wedding so I postponed it...I want to make sure she is safe." I said, his eyes widened.
-
"A-Amy got...hurt?...that's impossible how did she get involved in it?" He asked me anxiously. I could see the faint lingering look of pain behind his eyes.
-
"She..she started running...away from the whole thing...when I was asked if I took Mira as a wife...I was having second thoughts...and she just started running...two cars came, one must've been a drunk driver and he was driving on the wrong side of the road, crashing into the other car, the impact was enough to send shard of glass flying everywhere and she must have gotten struck by one of them..." I pondered what really did happen.
-
"Yes, you did a great job," I turned to see Mira on the phone, she seemed to distance herself from me. I gave Kyle a look, a sort of an 'I'm going to go see what she is talking about' look, he nodded as I stood up. I inched closer to Mira.
-
"I just wish I could marry him already, at least you did your job. You're sure it killed her?" I heard her whisper/yell. I covered my mouth in shock and went back to Kyle.
-
"What's wrong? You look like you just saw a ghost." Kyle said with a strained smile.
-
"N-nothing, I'm just thinking." I said.
-
"Mkay, listen, I have to go check on my mom, text me or call me if needed, just let me know Amy is okay alright?" He said as he walked away. Mira rushed out the door, a huge grin plastered on her face as she left the hospital. I felt myself about to fall asleep, it was too icy for me and I dozed off on the leather seat. I was awoken soon by my parents.
-
"How is she Jason?" My mother asked anxiously.
-
"They haven't gotten back to me yet...what if she already died in that emergency room?..." I felt my arms tense up as tears fell off my face. My dad placed his hand on my shoulder while my mother rushed of to find a nurse.
-
"Mr. Stewart? You may go see Amy now." A nurse chimed as she led me to the room. I turned the cold door handle, my parents followed closely as I stepped into the room. I saw Amy's beautiful face, awake and sitting up on the bed.
-
"I'm so glad you're okay!" I hugged her tightly.
-
"Wh-who are you?..." she chimed in confusion. I let go of her.
-
"Y-you don't remember m-me?... it's me, Jason Stewart...your best friend...you don't remember Amy?..." I felt more tears start to form.
-
"Can't say I do, sir. Did you save me?" She asked calmly.
-
"I guess I did save you Amy...but my job isn't done yet..." I said, hugging her once more.
