I never really rememeber what my mother's final words were. The only memorable sentence is " go to the building with a spear on the top were you can turn your scrubs for a wand ". The doctors all told me it was a side effect from the medicine and it was just gibberish , but i dont think so . I recall that morning so vividly . I sat on the side of the bed playing scrabble . Asking stupid questions such as " is fadoodle a word" or " is cat 16 points"? At the ripe age of 5 i really didnt understand the concept of it . Then out of nowhere the bed started to shake . I remeber eariler that week , i had learned about earthquake safety. " MOMMY" i say screaming. " Wake up " i say frantically shaking her . " THERE'S AN EARTHQUAKE " . Then i realised her eyes were rolling into the back of her head. The sound of hundreds of footsteps and " CODE BLUE IN ROOM 225, CODE BLUE IN ROOM 225" echo through the cancer ward . The sounds that i was all to familar with. I slowly backed away from my seizing mother afraid i've already done to much damage. Considering her doctor said the cancer was stress induced . Nurses bang on the door which is almost indistinguishable to my dad banging on the house door , demanding to see his child . " Open up saige " the nurses call from the locked door. " Your mommy needs our help" . I speed walk to the door and open it . The whole nurses station cramps into the tiny room , pushing me into the far corner . " some one get that kid out of here" i here someone yell over the slew of voices. One of the nurses pulls me aside and take me out . " Wait right here " she says and slams the door in my face . I hear the bedside table being pushed away the thump hits the door . Tiny little scrabble pieces make there way through the big crack in the door. The letters are " N,O,T,S,E,E,G,D,E,H". I hear a long beeping noise and try to make a world out of the unsual letters.
