Prologue~

You and I laying on green grass, far beyond my house. Nothing in the world seemed powerful enough to bother us. Soft winds blow tickling the parts of our bodies exposed.
"You know I would lay here forever with you." she said looking over at me. I smile and squeeze her hand.
"Me too." I whisper to myself. In that moment time seemed to stop just for us, and I loved it. Hopeless romantics looking for relationships to become more, is what we were.
This is the place where we proclaimed our love for each other, our darkest secrets. This place meant a lot to us.
There was no way in hell we would let it die if we had a choice.
She got up slowly, letting go of my hand. Still looking up in sky I decide to continue to lay there. I heard her lightly running away. I jump up and run after her.
I soon catch up to her and tackle her to the ground. "Ahh, your mine now." I announce pinning her to the ground. She giggles and struggles to get out of my grasp. I let her go and get up.
She quickly grabs my hand, walking beside me. Young, foolish, and arrogant kids run all around here. We were never one of them. We were just the weird kids and only talked to each other.
I looked down and saw the cold, dark place we call home. Nothing or nobody was there. I was immediately taken into a room of no color. There was only a bed with the woman I loved laying upon it.
She looked as beautiful as the days I remembered her. Only difference was she was paler, skinner and she was bald.
"I will always love you Landon." she whispered to me. My big hand reached for her small fragile hand. Tears spilling out of my eyes as she's talking to me, regular as ever.
"Remember those times we laid on the grass just talking to each other?" she asked looking over at me. They sparkled alittle bit when she looked over.
That only made me cry more, but I nodded still holding her hand.
"Don't forget." she mouthed closing her eyes, as a long beep filled the room.
I would constantly scream or yell at myself for letting this happen. Now I realize there was nothing I could have done, but love her. Which of course I always did.
There were days I couldn't live with her. I've considered killing myself but she would always come in my dreams the next day.
"You have so much to live for." she would repeat to me. She was sitting down and my head would be in her lap.

"Huh?" I asked getting up off the hard ground.
"You've been asleep for about 25 years" the guy said shaking me still. I got up and looked around. From what I could see everything looked different.
"What happened?" I asked scratching the back of my neck.
"Well I don't really know. I heard that one day they called for everybody to get in safe spots. They say that when they came out the world was just different." he said shrugging his shoulders.
I nodded, processing everything I've just heard. I got up and looked around. It looked like I was in a video game. There was no grass, no clouds, or no sky. I sighed. I hated this. I need to get out and find the home that people seem to care nothing about.
"It's going to be a long journey." I said to my self.
