He Broke Me but You Can Save Me (Ashton Irwin fanfic)

Chapter 22

We sat at a table in the cafe. I didn't realize how hungry I was until I smelled the food.

"Good morning. My name is Connor. I'll be serving you guys this morning. What can I get you to drink?" Connor asks. We all order water with lemon. He goes off to get our drinks and I look around the restaurant.

"So, what do you think, Jamie?" Stella asks me.

"I think it's really cool." I say and look at the menu. As I read over it, everything looks good. We sit in silence trying to figure out what we'll have for breakfast.

"Alright. Here are your drinks. Are we ready to order or do you all need a few more minutes?" Connor asks.

"We're ready." Michael says after we all exchanged glances. Everyone orders before me and it's my turn now.

"I'll have two blueberry waffles, two chocolate chip pancakes, four pieces of bacon, three scrambled eggs, and French toast." I say. When I look up, everyone's looking at me with a concerned look. Connor writes down everything with a confused expression on his face.

"Ok. We'll have it right out for you guys." Connor says and walks away.

"Babe, you're not gonna eat all of the food today are you?" Ashton asks.

"Yes I am. Whoever says I can't is oh so terribly wrong." I say and everyone nervously laughs. We wait in a comfortable silence for a few minutes before our food comes out. We all begin eating and laughing at nothing really. It doesn't take long for us to finish eating. I ate every single thing I ordered and had three glasses of water.

"Jamie, can I talk to you in the bathroom?" Stella asks. I nod and follow her to the restroom. I wonder what this is about.

"Ok, Stella. What ya need?" I ask and she rolls her eyes.

"Jamie, I know what's going on. The hormones, the food cravings. Would you like to confess?" Stella says all at once.

"Huh?" I say and she rolls her eyes once again.

"You're pregnant. What else could this mean. Is it Ashton's?" She asks excitedly. Pregnant? No.

"No. I'm not pregnant. It's not-" my thoughts cut off my sentence and I remember everything clearly.

*flashback*

"I'm bored now." I said. Ash smirked and before I knew it, he was on top of me. He attached his lips to mine and things got heated quickly. When he pulled away I glanced at him. What the hell? Tease. He picked me up bridal style and kissed me again. He walked all the way to our room and put me on the bed, and never broke the kiss. We were both naked in no time.

"Jamie, I don't have protection." Ashton breathed out.

"I don't care. Forget it." I said and with that, he thrusted into me.

*end flashcback*

"Shit." I mumble. Stella gives me a sad smile.

"It's Ashton's. If I am pregnant. He was my first time and we've been together for a while." I say. Stella nods.

"Ok. We'll drop the guys off back home and you and me will go to the store. I'll buy you a pregnancy test." Stella says. I nod nervously and walk out. I sit down next to Ashton again and give everyone a smile.

"Are we ready?" I ask. They nod and we leave. Stella makes Michael and Ashton get out of the car so we can do some girl things.

"But, Jamie, I wanna spend time with you." Ashton says. I give him a sad smile and kiss him. Tongue and all.

"I'll be right back. We won't be long. I promise." I say. Ashton nods and we kiss again.

"I love you." Ashton says.

"Love you too." I say and Stella drives us to the store. She walks straight to the pregnancy tests.

"I've been in this section many times before. It's kind of relieving that it's not for me this time around." I laugh at Stella and I browse the tests.

"Let's get this one. It's the cheapest." I say. She shakes her head and picks up another brand.

"Cheap means that it won't be accurate. I've used this one before. It's pretty accurate." She says. I nod and we pay for it.

"Where am I taking this test at? Here?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"No. You'll take it at home. I'll cover for you and help you hide it until the time has come." Stella says as we drive off. I glance out of the window the whole way back. What if I am pregnant? Will I be able to provide for it? Will Ashton help me? I bite on my knuckle and watch the house come into view.

"I'm kind of excited." Stella says. Yeah because it's not happening to her. This time anyway. We walk inside and straight to the bathroom. We both walk in and Stella locks the door. We take the stick out of the package and I pee on it. Well this is embarrassing. When I'm finished, there's a knock on the door.

"Jamie?" I look at Stella with a worried expression. Shit it's Ashton. She mouths the words 'I got this' and she motions for me to cough a little. I do as instructed and hope this 'plan' works.

"Jamie's a little sick. She ate too much and complained the whole time we were gone. I'll take care of her, Ashton. Don't worry." Stella says.

"Are you sure? I wanna see her." Ashton says.

"I'm sure. We've got it under control. Go play video games with Michael." Stella shouts and my coughs almost turn into laughs.

"Ok fine." Ashton sighs and I stop coughing. We wait the amount of time needed and check the results. Oh no.

"I don't want to see it first." I say and Stella reads it. She smiles widely and whispers,

"You're having a baby, Jamie. You're gonna be a mommy." My face pales and I nod.

"How do I tell Ash? What if he's not ready for this?" I ask worriedly.

"Everything will be alright. I promise." Stella says and wraps the stick in toilet paper, and then throws it away. We walk out of the bathroom and join our boyfriends on the couch. I sit in Ashton's lap and give him a kiss.

"Are you alright, Jamie?" Ashton asks. I fight to keep from crying and nod.

"Yep. Everything is fantastic." For now
