It was almost Mughrib when we reached our hotel, exhausted and tired. Also not to mention filled with sand and dust. Everything was brown, from clothes to the shoes. Bhaiya and Shahid bhai went to the manager to arrange our rooms, rest of us waited in the coaster.
‘Don't take all the luggage, just the things we need for the night.’ said my hubby. ‘Yes, I am on it already, taking extra dresses for the kids and us, I think we need a shower now. So much dust and heat made us all tired.’
‘Sure, I'm gonna shower right away. Do you a dress ironed for me ?’
‘I did ironed them back home but I think you should ask if they have ironing facilities here.’
‘It's not a five star hotel dear.’
‘Well it's not a hotel at all, right? I've read the board there it's says Government boys hostel Gilgit.’
‘O yes, it's a Hostel alright.’
‘I don't see how, is it not a functioning hostel? Where are the hostilities then?’
‘Well sure it is a functioning one, remember it's summer vacation, maybe the students went home and the management's just availing opportunity.’
‘hhmm.’
‘Let's go, all of the first floor is ours, take any room you like.’ bhaiya announced.
‘Don't take all of the luggage just the things you need’ said Shahid bhai.
We went in, it was a simple structure, a circular building, open from the center and the rooms were situated all around it. The plantations were very nicely arranged. The stairs were Spiraling round in the middle. There was a grape vine covering most of the railing, with many green small grapes bunches on it. The moment I went upstairs, it was lovely the spacious rooms with large windows were amazing. ‘How amazing a photocopy of any government installment I've seen back in Karachi.’ I said as soon as I entered the room. This was first time of all the trip that we have booked separate rooms for each family. First time that I'm going to be with my husband, plus we could shower and get fresh. I was dying to wash myself up.
Kids started playing straight away, they looked as if they had been privileged. Like they got freedom from longtime prison. Whooping and bouncing round and round the place. Literally I badly wanted to do that too, after being trapped in that coaster for about ten hours straight.
