The Blood

In the village we live in King Edward's and Queen Anna's kingdom. Queen Anna had died from a bad illness. People live separately by the color of their blood. Gold blooded people are the high level class they live in the castle. The white blood people are the middle class they live in the big houses, that's what I am. Finally the black blood people live in small houses they are considered poor.

A year later when King Edward's first wife had died the King decided to get married to another woman named Nicole. That's when the king decided that the whole town should celebrate with him, so he invited the whole town to his wedding. My mother forced me to go, she told me I should socialize with others, but I'm not that type of girl to socialize with others. My mom took out her dress that looked very itchy and old, and I decided to make a new dress out of the old dress.

When I went through the door I felt, out of place, like I don't belong. Right away I went to go get a drink, I felt a little better but not as much. The whole time I was standing by myself watching people dance and socialize, I knew I wouldn't enjoy this day because I don't know anyone. Later on during the day a clumsy guy dropped water all over my dress, so I decided to go home. Right away he apologized, I told him it was fine even though it wasn't. I started to walk towards the door, and before I can reach the door the guy grabbed me by the arm softly and turned me around.

"Where are you going?" the guy said.

"I'm going home," I said.

"But why? Is it because I spilt water on your dress."

"Yes."

"Well.. I'm sorry for running your night."

"It's alright, it wasn't like I was having fun anyways."

"Before you leave would you like to dance with me to make your night fun and as an apology?" he took his hand out and smiled hoping I would take his hand, because he felt bad for me.

"But I don't know how to dance."

"Well... I'll show you."

"Alright fine," I said while smiling.

He took me in the middle of the floor and we started to dance slowly. While we were dancing we started to get to know each other, his name is Ethan. After the wedding was over he wanted to hang out more, and I did too. So we started to hang out in the woods by a beautiful river.

A couple of months later me and Ethan were still talking to each other and got closer. After school was finished Ethna finally had the guts to ask me out, and of course I said yes. A week later I was in the village buying some apples and a man came up to me and asked me my name, I told him my name and he gave me a letter. Right away when I got home I opened it, it was from the king. The letter briefly said to stop talking to Ethan because Ethan is gold blooded, he also told me this was warning. People who have different blood can't be together or they will be locked up because that's one of the rules the king stated. The next day I went to the woods and I saw Ethan running towards me.

"Did you get a letter from the king," he said to me while he was trying to catch his breath.

"Yes, what are we going to do?" I said with weariness.

"....Maybe we can run away together."

"What! Are you crazy."

"Yes, I'm crazy, I'm crazy in love with you I would do anything to be with you and to make you happy even if that means if we have to run away together."

"I can't do that, how we are going to live on our own with no money," I said.

"You can do this, I have enough money to buy supplies that we need, it's a risk I would take to be with you."

"...Ok fine, but when do we leave."

"Meet me in the woods tomorrow morning at 5:00am, bring supplies you think we will need for our journey," he said.

"Alright be careful," I said while reaching over giving him a hug.

"You too," he whispered in my ears and gave me a kiss on the cheeks.

We both ran off to our homes. When I got home I decided to write a letter to my parents to explain why I left so they wouldn't have to worry as much. It was 4:48am by the time I arrived at the woods, Ethan arrived at the woods at 4:56am, and so we started to walk. At 5:36 we both hear horses running, the people on the horses spot us and start heading towards us, so we started to run as fast we can. But they caught us, one of the guards took our belongings and tied us up.

The guards start to head towards the castle where the king and queen lived, and into the cell. Me and Ethan went in different cells, Ethan's cell was right next to mine but we couldn't see each other. A couple of minutes later the King came down the stairs and looked at us and told us that he warned us and left.

"Edward! You will regret putting us in here," the woman said with anger, right before the king left. When I heard the woman voice, she sounded so familiar, so I took a closer look at her and I noticed it was Queen Anna.

"Queen Anna is that you?" I squinted my eyes to get a better vision of her.

"Yes," Queen Anna said with weakness.

"I thought you were dead, what happened!"

"Well it's a long story, it all started with Nicole."

"The Queen?" Ethan said.

"Yes her, Nicole and Edward knew each other way back and somehow she has returned. Nicole told King Edward something that nobody has ever knew. Nicole told him if you inject different blood into your system you will have powers depending on the blood. Nicole had a book of different kinds of powers for different kinds of blood. Edward wanted the book, but Nicole will only give him the book if he married her. At this time I was going to be Edward's wife in a couple of weeks. Edward did not like that idea because he was in love with me, so Edward stole her book. Edward thought Nicole wouldn't notice but she did, so Nicole made a spell, so that Edward would follow her command. One day Edward inserted the blood into himself and he had the power to make electricity out of his hands. Nicole turned Edward into a monster."
