(MADDIS POV)
I feel my conscious coming back. I thought I was dead. "Maddi?" I hear a sweet voice I remember. "Kai?" I ask back. There are so many IV tubes attached to me. "Wh, what happened?" I ask. I look up at him. He has big puffy eyes. His face is red. Was he crying? "Y, you tried to kill yourself while I was gone," he says Choking on his words. "R, really?" I ask not remembering a thing. "Yea, your mother found you and took you too the hospital then called me, Alex, Ryan and Max are outside," "they wanted to know if they could come I," he says finishing his sentence. "Sure, why not," I say kinda happy that he is okay. "Come on in guys!" He says loud enough for them to hear. "Omg," I hear a girly voice say. "Maddi, how are you?" I hear a muscly voice say. Then I hear something that I can't quite make out. Something a long the lines of hello maddi I am Ryan, I hope you feel better. Ryan, Ryan, I have heard that somewhere before. "Ryan as in Emo Ryan that everyone hates?" I ask not thinking. "Uh yea I guess.." I hear something deeply disappointed in his tone of voice. "I don't hate you of course," I say trying to hide it. "Oh it is fine, you seem like a nice girl!" He says. I yawn. "You just woke up, I should be the one who is Yawning," Kai says laughing. A doctor walks in with two nurses. They are like staring at Kai while unhooking me. "Hey, boy what is your name?" One asks biting her lip. "Kai, why do you ask?" He asks. "Well Kai, my name is Bree and I was wondering if you would like to go to dinner tonight," she suggested while unhooking the last item. "Oh, uh sure, we will meet at the park, at 5 okay," he says. "Okay," she jumps up and down while leaving. "Dude, that was amazing how the actual FUCK," max asks while Ryan's mouth is open in awe. "Oh well I have a thing with women." Kai responds like it is no big deal. "Plus, I am not actually meeting her at the park, I don't like her and never will," he says. "She seems like a bitch," he says once again. "Well kai, who would you say yes too?" Alex asks looking at me. "One person," he says looking down. "Who is that one person?" Ryan asks not really asking. "Oh, just a girl, I love a lot," he says sighing. "I know who it is," I cut into their conversation. "Really who?" Max asks genuinely. "Me," I respond. As Kai looks up every stares at me. "I.." Kai says as he can't finish his sentence. "You love me," I say finishing his sentence for him. "Why can't you be this cute max?" Alex asks laughing. "We will give you two a moment alone," max says as Ryan and Alex nod. When they leave Kai stands up and walks over to me. "Why would you hurt yourself?" He asks taking off his shoes. "I just felt alone..." I respond looking puzzled as he sets them aside. "So if I felt alone, I could just kill myself?" He asks. "No, I wouldn't let you," I say. He doesn't respond instead he hovers over top of me. My heart starts to race. At a fast pace. I feel my cheeks go red. He kisses me. I push him down on me as we kiss for a long time. He kisses down my neck as I moan from the softness from his lips. "Shhhh," he says putting a finger over my mouth. "I, I can't," I say blushing. "Yes you can," he says bitting my neck mildly. I moan softer. "See just fight the urge." He says. He comes back up and bites my lip. I feel blood come out of my lip. I don't mind it. Kai licks the blood before it can escape my lip. "Hm," I say as he puts his lips back on mine. "Shhh," he says once again, this time putting his tongue in my mouth. I feel like my heart is going to pop right out of my chest. When he pulls away saliva hangs from his braces. "I missed you," he says smiling. "I missed you too," I kissed him once more. Then I heard someone cough to get our attention.
"Oh hi Dr. Miles," Kai says getting off of me. I do a sad face. "You can go home now, just nothing too rough," he looks at me with THE FACE. "Okay, thank you Doctor," I say standing up. Kai grabs my bag of clothes. "I will go grab the Documents," the doctor says leaving. "Imma go outside, your mom will sign everything." He says wiping his mouth finally noticing it. "Okay, I will be out soon," I say as he leaves. I feel like I am melting. I love him so much.
I walk out as Kai hugs me and kisses my cheek. Alex hugs me and calls me Senpai. Max shakes my hand NOT Hugging me. "Just hug her!" Kai yells laughing. "Okay, okay!" He says hugging me. "I am happy you are okay," her mother said wiping her tears. "Everyone is," Kai added giving me a face. The face said I am not leaving at all anymore, because I wanna keep you safe, and I love you... I nodded responding to his face. "Maddi, may I ask you something?" Ryan asks looking at her. "In private?" He asks again. "Sure," I respond gesturing to the room I was just in.
When we make it in he starts immediately. "I love Alex," he blurts out. "Well as a friend?" I ask. "No like I love love her," he looks out the window at the red headed beauty. "Well tell her," I say looking out at Kai. "It isn't that easy, she has a boyfriend she loves, I was asking you because I thought you out of all people would get it," he says looking down. "I do, I had to suck it up and tell Kai, turns out he loved me too, you just gotta try," I responded patting his shoulder. "But you two aren't even together," he responds. "I know, Kai is dealing with Chase at the moment-" I was cut off by Ryan kissing me. I pushed him off immediately. "What the FUCK!" I screamed loudly. "Shhh, they can hear you," he says.
The door opens. "You okay Maddi?" Kai walks in. "Uh yea, we were just talking about something that shocked me," I say covering for him. "But we were just finishing up," Ryan says with no emotion as he leaves. When he leaves I kiss Kai. After I rest my forehead on his. "I love you," I say. "I love you too," he says kissing me again. He picks me up with my legs wrapped around him. "Can you walk like this," I ask laughing. "Yea totally," he says walking no problem. Before we leave the room. I burry my face into his next as he giggles. "Stop, we are going in front of your mom," he says. "She doesn't care," I lick his neck. "Cmon," he says holding my back for support. "What happened in there?" Alex asked laughing. "She is, just uh tired," Kai said covering for me as I secretly bite his neck. He doesn't mind well at least if he did he has hid it. "Okay we should go," my mother says. "Okay," when everyone turned around he pulled my face from his neck and kissed me. "We can do this later, you need to pretend to be asleep," I nod my head and lay on his shoulder wrapping my arms around him. "Come on!" Max says loudly. "Coming," Kai says walking. Kai kissed my cheek. "Night."
We make it to the car and we all pile in. Ryan in the front Alex and Max in the back with me and Kai. I softly snore. "Isn't she so cute when she is asleep?" My mom said. "She is cute all the time," kai responds kissing my head. I am still in his lap. He is sitting with his legs slightly open for me to fit in between an he looks nervous like he has a boner or something. I just wanna laugh but I don't of course. Max kisses Alex softly and they whisper 'I love you'. I sigh.
I think I actually fell asleep on the car rode home. "Maddi," I feel soft warm hands against my face. I grab his hand and hug it. "Cmon, I need you awake because we have school," he says. I jolt up. "Shit!" I run to the bathroom and take a quick shower. I do my hair and makeup. I am just putting on my pants when I feel warm hands touch my bare stomach. "Kai, I have to get ready," I say biting my lip. "We have a hour," he says. "I know," I caress his face and turn around. He pulls me close and kisses me. "An hour isnt a long time," I say. "I can do it in 15 minutes," he makes a devilish grin, "fine," I say.
We make it to school just in time for our first class. But we have to pretend to hate each other. "Babe!" Chase yells at me. "Yea?" I ask putting my backpack into my locker. "We should fuck," he whispers in my ear seductively. "No!" I respond walking away. "Good girls are obedient," he says. "Chase," I say turning around. "What," he comes closer to me. "We are OVER," I yell at him, every stares, I don't see Alex, Max, Ryan, or even Kai anywhere. "What did you just sat bitch!" He says getting all worked up. "We are never going to fuck or talk ever again." I respond to his stupid question. "Oh no you don't." He says as I walk away. He grabs my shirt and pulls me to the ground. "Ugf," I make a noise as my back hits the ground. "Shut up," he says again grabbing my face and slamming my head on the ground. After that all I heard was. "You are never coming back to this school again, you are lucky you don't get sued," I think it was the principal.
