I close my eyes, but the voice is still there, laughing at me.
"Ha, you can't even do one easy move, so how are you going to perform a whole routine? In fact, you're so bad, you probably won't make it on the competitive team, and then what will you do? Volleyball? Ha ha ha!"
Who is telling me this? I wish they would just be quiet because my head hurts. Really bad. Slowly, I open my eyes and try to sit up straight, but I get dizzy and almost faint.
"Piper, just lay down, honey. An ambulance is coming, so just lie down and relax. We know how bad it hurts," I hear a voice say. I have to think about it to figure out who it is. Oh, yeah, it's my coach, Coach Jen.
"Okay," I try to say but I can't hear myself speak. All I can hear is the voice, telling me all the things I can't do.
