I'm not gonna lie, when I swallowed down all those pills, I didn't know what to expect. I don't even think I was thinking at the time! But, that's all in the past now. Now I'm here. How did I end up here you might ask; well here's how it all started. In a small but friendly town of Evergreen, New Jersey. Even though it's small and I really don't like most of the people here, I still like to call it home. I was only seven years old when the police officer told me that mommy and daddy were gone. I had to stay with my mom's close friend Lucy. I call her aunt Lucy, even though she isn't really my aunt I still think of her as one. Aunt Lucy works for a really big shipping company; she's worked for the company for almost six years now but still isn't given the right recognition she deserves. I really didn't like middle school; kids picked on me because I didn't have an adult with me for any of the school events. But I didn't care about what they said, I would just ignore them. In fact, now that I think about it, I never wanted to have any friends. Probably because I don't really trust people. That was until I met him.

I later on found out that daddy was the one who had killed mommy. I should have know that he would have snapped sooner or later. I just never thought that he would have the guts to kill my mom! He was always a good for nothing drunk. He never took care of me while my mom was at work so by the time I was five I knew how to use a stove. Waking up in the morning, walking over to 7-Eleven to get myself some eggs and milk; best breakfast I could ever make. Scrambled eggs. I always did my best to avoid daddy; he would point out every flaw I had with every chance he would get. But I didn't care, because all the horrible things he would call me, I knew that I was a way better person than him.

Sixteen huh? Sixteen and prego!? I don't think so. I'm not like all those other girls who talk all about last nights new episode of teen wolf, or gossip about each other. I'm one of those girls who is unappreciated for who she is. I write poems, write stories, tell stories of those who don't have the courage to tell them. I guess you could say that I'm, unique. I wear the most expensive but not popular clothes at school. I save up as much money as I can every month and spend it all at my favorite clothing store! Zumiez! Sure I'm only able to afford only two outfits every month, but it's worth it. My favorite clothing to wear is my long baggy sweaters with a beanie hat, skinny jeans, and my favorite one of a kind, and only pair, short black boots.

Oh sorry, didn't mean to go off topic! Anyways, so now I'm in the middle of high school still with no friends. That weird looking girl who sits by herself at lunch every single day. She's buys her lunch every day, but she never eats. All she does is play with it. Yeah, sounds like fun right? But one faithful day, this person must have felt real badass to come up to me. And sit with me! But wait, there's more. She not only sat with me; she talked to me!

She had brown hair and brown eyes, she wore white all over. White sweater, white leggings, white shoes! She sat there in front of me with a perky smile on her face and just looked at me for a second. "Hi!" She finally chirps.

I look down at my tray of rotten meat. "Hey."

"So are you Elizabeth Karter?" She asks.

I just give her a glance. "Uh yeah, why? You here to comment on my outfit?" I say with an attitude. She frowns and looks at me confused.

"Why would I do that? I've always liked the way you dress; anyways um I was just wondering if you could do me a favor." I look up at her pretending to be interested in what she's saying. "As you know, since I'm our class president, it's my duty to make sure that all classmates and peers are involved and happy with their environment. And I've noticed that you've been very how shall I put this, 'Ant-social'. And-" I cut her off.

"Look Casey, just cut to the chase already." I demand.

She gives me a fuck-off look and continues. "I was getting to that. Anyways, I'm pairing some random students up with each other, I just wanted to tell you who your partner will be. You will need to spend as much time with each other as possible. By the end of the semester you two will need to of had learned about both your dislikes, your likes, what your favorite band is. You pretty much need to get to know each other like you are best friends." She finishes.

I sit there for a whole minute jut staring at her. "Um okay, so who's my partner?" I ask.

"Oh, you're partner is Zack Charleston." My heart suddenly sinks. No! No! No way in hell am I being partnered up with Zack Charleston! He's the most stuck up jerk in the entire school! "You'll both be meeting up at the cafe on Borrow Street today at exactly four thirty. Kay?"

I slouch in disappointment. "Yeah sure. Thanks for the memo." I say. She gives me a smile, stands up and walks away. Zack Charleston! Really? Out of all the people in this fucked up school I get him! Really!? What did I ever do to earn this punishment?
