Chapter five: Labor Thanksgiving Day

A/n: I drew the picture above and labor thanksgiving day also known as 勤労感謝の日 is thanksgiving in Japan it's not exactly celebrated the same as we Americans do but it's on the 23rd of November also French people don't celebrate thanksgiving just so you know, and I hope you have a great thanksgiving if your in America like me

I walk down to the main room as I was walking in I noticed Yuuri busily running around with assortments of food

"what are you doing Yuuri?" I asked and he almost dropped the dish he was carrying because I startled him "oh, happy labor thanksgiving day" he said then he ran into the kitchen

"...what's thanksgiving?" I asked myself then, determined to find out what this 'thanksgiving' thing is I decided to go find where Yuuri went to ask him

I walked through the door that Yuuri ran into and the smell that hit me...was like no other I've ever smelled in my life and the sight was amazing

Different assortments of food were arranged onto a large table "woah, Yuuri what's the occasion?" I asked "thanksgiving" he said while hurriedly running back into the kitchen

Just then viktor and Yurio walked in "woah what's with all the food?" Yurio asked "apparently it's 'thanksgiving'" I say while giving a emphasis on thanksgiving

"Oh I know what thanksgiving is we don't celebrate it in Russia but I had a girlfriend from America who went all out with the holiday" viktor says "oh yeah I had friend from Canada who also celebrated thanksgiving but that was a month ago" Yuri said

"...what's thanksgiving?" I ask "oh yeah I forgot since you're from France you don't celebrate it, well it's a holiday where you sit with friends and family and eat a bunch of food to be thankful for all the blessings you have" Yuuri said while putting down another dish

But before he could run back into the kitchen I stopped him "hey Yuuri why do you need so much food it's only us?" I asked "I have other family members coming over, oh and just so you know we're gonna have to share rooms now since my family will be staying here" he explains

"Can I help?" I asked "with what" he said "the food duh" I say "oh yeah of course, but first choose who your gonna room with"he said then ran back into the kitchen 'man if only he could be that fast during races' I thought "...hey (y/n)...wanna be roommates?" Yurio asked and I started blushing "y-yeah sure" I sat then walk into the kitchen

When I walked in everyone was running around with different kinds of foods in their hands then throwing them into pots filled with water or cut them up

"Hey Yuuri what do I do?" I asked "cut potatoes" I all he said while throwing carrots into a pot so I did as told and got some potatoes and a cutting board

...these freakin potatoes were rock solid 'HOW THE ACTUAL FUCK DO YOU CUT THESE' I yelled in my head, I was only on the first potato in five minutes "hurry up (y/n) they'll be here any minute" Yuuri hurriedly says then speeds off I tried cutting it one last time but failed "C'EST TOUT!!!!(THATS IT)" I yell then grabbed the biggest knife around me and held it over my head ready to stab the potato

"AAAAHHHH!!!" But Yuuri somehow got the knife out of my hands before I could use it "(Y/N)!!!!WHAT WERE YOU-" "*knock knock knock*" they were here Yuuri then pushed me out of
the way and cut all the potatoes in less than a second

'KMS' I screamed in my head then walked out of the kitchen into the dinner room and a bunch of people were in the room and the only spot left was next to...Yurio

I walk over to the spot and sat down I look over to see Yurio staring at me with the slightest tint pink on his cheeks "is this seat taken?" I asked

"N-no no it's alright" he stuttered "thanks" I say then turn my attention to hiroko (Yuri's mom) "thank you all so much for coming" just then Yuri came in and set the last plate of food on the table "well...dig in" she said then we all grabbed some food and some people passing dishes to other people

*time skip*
The whole experience was a blast everyone eating till they passed out of a food coma then waking back up and chatting like nothing happened and playing strange games I've never heard of while me, viktor, and Yurio taught everyone else fun games from our culture

Then came night time most of Yuri's family slept on the couches or shared beds and me...I had to move all my stuff to Yuri's room apparently they're staying for a couple days and I didn't have much stuff to move really just a suitcase and cat

Yuri seemed to like (c/n) and that was normal since she seems to like Yuri more than me even though I'm her owner!!! Anyways it was time for bed

"U-ummm..." "so you are you going to come over here or not?" He asked I then walk towards him and when close enough he grabbed my waist and threw me on the bed then wrapping his arms around me "goodnight..." was all he said then turned off the lights
