POV: Anonymous
The small party of Fairy Tail wizards made its way out of the building. One little girl burst out through the doors, her brilliant blue hair swinging over her back. Her name was Wendy Marvel, the sky dragon slayer. The rest of the group consisted of the short old man, Makarov, Titania, the renown red-haired woman mage, a dark haired boy who I had heard rumors of being an ice mage named Grey, a cute blond girl named Lucy, and lastly the black-haired one. He was of most interest, Natsu. I swung from my current position into a tree, hanging by one arm. The elderly master heard the leaves rustle and looked up only in time to see the tail end of the long red coat that I wore.
“I think we may have company, kids.” He warned uselessly. It was good that I didn't wish to slaughter them, because it would have been easy.
“Who?” The redhead murmured, keeping her voice low, but not nearly low enough to escape my ears.
“I don't know.” Makarov exhaled and proceeded, “I just hope that whoever it is means well.”
“Yes.” She agreed, every one of them seemed melancholy, like they were marching to certain death. The blond skipped to keep up with the quick paces of her companions, she reached out tentatively to Natsu, opening her mouth to speak, but then sighed and silenced herself.
“Natsu. You know as well as I do that our guild is one big family.”
“The only family I've known for years.” He consented, fidgeting with his scarf. I silently slid from my tree into another; I knew how it felt to be alone.
“I can't send my son to eternal darkness and silence.”
“Why not?” His reply bit at my mind, he had been sent away before, yet his smile only grew in brilliance. Why was the boy being so weak now?
“Because I care about you, not to mention that if I really took you to the Magic Council Prison the whole guild would come after me with weapons raised.”
“All of us care for you.” Erza said without looking back at him.
“Thanks. So instead of ditching me in a prison you're going to ditch me in the woods?” He laughed dryly at his own cynical joke, “I've dealt with that before.” All of them picked up the pace, not knowing how to respond to the antic.
“No... We’re just to let you go wherever you wish.” Makarov stopped. “You were going to leave anyway you said.” He glanced suspiciously up in my direction,
“What is it, Master?” Erza asked, hefting her spear.
“Come out!” He yelled, “If you wish us no harm you have nothing to fear!” the old man's voice boomed through the forest.
I remained motionless, letting the very fibers of my being slide into the tree. The huge amounts of power collected within my body dispersed to all the living things around me, removing any ability to sense me.
“He's gone.” Lucy muttered, looking around confused.
“The magic power just vanished.” Grey snapped, staring deeply into my tree.
“He hasn't left.” Natsu stated, “I'll burn down that tree if you don't get out!” The boy glared up, directly at me without seeing even a piece of my clothing.
