Sky searched through the forest, her heart pounding in her chest. "Lion?!" She called out as she shot into a clearing. But, to no avail.
Birdclaw was beside her, brushing against her flank calmly. "Don't worry, he's probably in no danger." His voice was reassuring, but hints if uncertainty trailed behind.
SilverShadow was at the den keeping watch. If Lion came back she would be able to tell them. After a few more hours of searching, Birdclaw decided it was time to head back.
"Sky, we must rest. Tomorrow we can look for him more, it's no use when the sun goes down." He said. Sky nodded.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the high tree for a clan meeting!" Stonestar called, his voice booming through the large clearing. Lion sat beneath him, his eyes wide with wonder. Leafpaw was beside him.
"You really want to join Streamclan, huh?" She asked, slightly cocking her ears forward. Lion nodded. "My dad was in a clan once, he said it was terrible. I wouldn't believe him though."
Leafpaw shifted her paws. "Was your mother in a clan too?" She asked. Lion nodded.
"As we all have seen, a stranger has arrived in our camp. He is seeking our approval. He wants to join our clan as an apprentice. I have given him a moon an a half to prove himself worthy. Who here disagrees?"
Stonestar looked around uncertainly.
"I don't think we should let this stranger come in at such short notice. He'll eat our prey, he'll be another mouth to feed." A cat said. Leafpaw growled. "Shut your mouth Thornpaw!" She muttered under her breath.
Stonestar nodded. "Yes, but he'll also be another contributor. He'll fight for us, and hunt for us." Lion looked around nervously. No other objections.
Stonestar smiled. "Then let it be that by the power of Starclan vested in me, this cat will be known as Lionpaw, apprentice of Streamclan. His mentor will be HawkPelt, and he shall learn the ways of the warrior code."
HawkPelt, a large, well-built, muscular tom padded up to Lionpaw. He smiled charmingly and touched his nose to Lionpaw's head. "I'll make sure you learn as much as I can teach you."
