The Move

My whole life I've been living in the shadows , it all started when I got cheated on by the bad boy ... That's when I became popular .

That's also the reason I wanted to move . But the feeling of popularity made me feel special.

Everyone in school started talking about it . Some people laughed at me and some comforted me .

I never really was the person anyone would notice , I was always hidden in the shadows . Trying to make friends was the hardest part in my whole life . I've been in this school since grade 1 and all my friends slowly faded . My name is Elena Ross. Your average 16 year old girl.

Right now , I'm on the plane to L.A. I'm going to the highest most qualified school in the country . Everyone thinks of me as a nerd , but I think I'm just a normal person ... just a bit smarter than the rest .

I still don't know where we're going to live . That was all the tiniest bit of information I had . Everything else is for my parents to know and for me to find out .

Flight attendant

" we are landing now , please fasten your seat belts on and prepare for landing ".

With those words being said I put my shoes back on and woke my brother up and told him the news .

My brother's name is Mike . He's my non-identical twin . We get along pretty well sometimes , and sometimes not so much . We are not going to the same school because he didn't pass most of the entrance exams. He's going to Westbrook high . It feels like we're not even related . We look and seem nothing alike .

He has dark brown hair , blue eyes , he's tall too , and he's the cool type of guy that has many friends and goes out to party and have fun every night. He takes me with him most of the time and I attend a few parties without him but I don't really go out as much as him.

I looked through the window , and it was beautiful! Stunning ! I've never seen anything so pretty before . Maybe this move won't be as bad as I thought .

We had a smooth landing , we got up and headed out to get our bags . We had a lot of luggage coming so I knew this was going to be a long wait . That's why I came prepared .

I got my book and some ear plugs out and began to read while listening to music . Surprisingly , it wasn't such a long wait . Our bags were the first to come and when we were done we got into a cab and went to the place so called " home ".

Mike

" I can't wait to get home and just sleep , I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open "

Mom

" Mike , Elena I have to let you know that you both have school next week so try sleeping earlier than you usually would because of jet lag , you need to get used to L.A timing "

I answered mom by just giving her a slight nod .

I can't believe how tired I am right now . I fell asleep during the car ride and so did Mike .

It was a long ride from the airport to the house but when we got home I was surprisingly full of energy and started to unpack . So did Mom and Dad .

The house was beautiful from the inside and the outside . We had a big garden , A pool , and a backyard . The house is huge I doubt my parents had enough money to buy it . They probably got a loan from the bank .

I wanted a full tour of the house so I started from the basement ( which was really hard to find ) . Most of the rooms other than the bedrooms and kitchen were empty .

The basement had absolutely nothing in it . Next to the basement was another empty room that I had no idea what it was for .So I made my way up to the kitchen .

It was humongous !! I've never seen a kitchen so big . I think you may even be able to fit a whole family and elephants in it . It was kind of a marble themed kitchen. Next to the kitchen was the living room I suppose . It was all white and empty . There was a bathroom and another empty room connected to the living room .

I made my way up stairs , there were many bedrooms I think about six .Three on each side of the hall . There was a bathroom at the end of the hall . But each room had a bathroom of its own .

There was an attic which was empty too . There was also a type of library which I didn't understand why it was there .

The last thing I saw was a small room which obviously was also empty .

After that I went to bed . It was 1:30 AM in L.A .
