A long day

I felt my bed deepen behind me. The person shuffled closer and placed there small hands on my shoulder.

"Its alright you know, you can live with us. I'm sure whatever it is, will work itself out for the best. Here, I brought you some milk and biscuits, oh and the 'Tiny Catterpiller,' mum always reads this to me when I'm upset." Gavin said, I turned over to face him, his cute small face peering up at me. I took the milk and biscuits from him.

"Thanks." I smiled

"That's okay." He said. He snuggled down in the bed with me, as we munched on the biscuits, and read the book. He's right, milk, biscuits and a book always makes you feel better.

"Thank you Gavin, I really appreciate this."

"Call me Gav. What does appreciate me again?" he asked

"It means when you are glad....." I stopped as I heard slight snoring sounds coming from his mouth. I smiled to myself as, I soon, fell asleep too.

I awoke with something bright shining on my face. A torch.

"Go away, I'm asleep." I muttered, flapping my arms about, to try get rid of the person.

"Waving your arms about like a baby, isn't going to get rid of me that fast. " A deep voice said.

"okay, okay. Just let me sleep a bit longer, then I'll be up. " I said, getting annoyed.

A huge body came flying on top of me, and started to tickle my side's. "Alright I'm up. Just go away before you get kicked again were it hurts. " I said looking up through my fringe to see a smirking Ryder. "Why does it always have to be you?".I questioned to myself.

"You do know what day it is, don't you?" Ryder asked

"Yeah Saturday." I said, grinning fro ear to ear. "I'm not thick, I know what day it is."

"Yeah? That's why you didn't know that it's Monday?. Seriously," Now he was the one grinning. I frowned, How could it be, I only got here two days ago.

"I'm not going."I said flatly.

"And whys that?"he asked

"Don't you know? No you don't, you where partying after I'd gone to bed. I don't want to say, it's personal, " I sniffed, holding back a tear. I was starting to get mad. "Now, please, get OUT." I said.

"Not until you tell me what's wrong." He said, staying where he was.

"I'm not about to give in, I've known you two days, and you think you can come into my life and expect me to TELL YOU WHATS WRONG? Well you have another thing coming mate, get to know me, or stay in and not get drunk, and, and, and....." I'd ran out off words. Then I just collapsed onto my bed and cried. "couldd youu gett Kattee, shee knowws whatts wrongg?".I said between sobs.

"sure." He left and not soon after, Kate came in, with mascara stains down her face.

"I donnn'ttt knoww whatt to do." I let out another cry. Kate wrapped her arms around me tighter.

"there's nothing to do."She said.

Kate and my mum had been best friends since primary school. My dad and Allan had also been best mates in primary. The funny thing is, Dad and Allan hated Kate and Mum, Mum and Kate hated Allan and Dad.They used to have competitions with each other.

"I remember one time, me and Alison" Alison was my mum's name. "where in an egg and spoon race, against John," (my dad,) " me and Allan both walked into each other, so we where out, and then near the end, it was just Alison and John against each other. They kept slyly knocking one another, but Johns egg never fell. Alison tripped your dad up, but her plan back fired, and she fell instead, which then caused John to win. In the end, your mum found out that he'd stuck bluetack on his spoon, stuck the egg to it, that way, it didn't fall off. Alison was furious, that's how they first met, that's when I started hating Allan, not only because he walked into me, but because he was best friends with John. That was the day me and Alison said we would never speak to them ever again. Look where that's got us now." Kate spoke. I hugged her, and she hugged me back, without hesitation.

"You know, I've always wanted a girl, I guess your the closest to a daughter." I smiled "What,? You wouldn't expect Noah, or Ryder to be a daughter would you. "

"Guess not."

After mine and Kate's girl to girl talk, I'd slept like a log. Only getting up to go to the bathroom.

I know my chapters are short, but I don't know what else to right. I promise me next chapters will be longer.

This Is my first proper book, so I'm still working on it.
