The first day of school but the last day of summer. Another season ruined by having no friends or even the slightest chance of ever having a boyfriend. I knew from the very start I'd be the Loner, The unhappy friend, The ugly sister or that depressed kid. I knew from the beginning that I would be called a 'slut' for a mistake that I made ages ago, I knew no one could change me except myself, so that's exactly what I did.

I had been bullied in school before, I remember the time I was pushed onto the floor and punched till I had a burst lip and a black eye. I used to have a perfect family, until that one unfaithful day when time stopped for my family and I. People used to say I should love myself because I was beautiful, but I could never see the logic in that. I had long black hair, green eyes and I was quite tall. I could never watch myself cry in the mirror, but now all I watch is the tears roll down my face. I used to have a best friend but we didn't really talk that much after the incident, though now more than anything else I wish I could see him once more, just to say goodbye. We always used to tell each other our problems, though his were a lot more complicated than mine, but we always got though it together.

I met him, I saw him at the church kneeling in front of the window. His eyes were all red and puffy from crying so much. I shouted toward him, nothing happened at first then all of a sudden he looked up and started crying again. 'What have I done?' he sighed, I started to run just thinking of giving him a hug and telling him it wasn't his fault. But as the dead and the living cannot be with each other, he didn't feel anything as I tried to hug him. I walked toward the window and said 'I really missed the outside world while I was gone, the trees waving in the wind and the blue sky and white clouds.' I started to cry. I called out one more time, 'Goodbye Evan, I love you.' His eyes darted up towards me 'Goodbye Jen, I will forever love you.' he answered to me. And then everything went black. That was the last time I every saw him.
